Pressure sensor including deformable pressure vessel(s)

Techniques are described herein that perform pressure sensing using pressure sensor(s) that include deformable pressure vessel(s). A pressure vessel is an object that has a cross section that defines a void. A deformable pressure vessel is a pressure vessel that has at least one curved portion that is configured to structurally deform (e.g., bend, shear, elongate, etc.) based on a pressure difference between a cavity pressure in a cavity in which at least a portion of the pressure vessel is suspended and a vessel pressure in the pressure vessel.

Systems, methods, and apparatus including a downhole membrane potentiometer that may be used in well systems. The downhole membrane potentiometer may include a first circuit film having a resistance trace, a second circuit film having a collector trace, and an insulator spacer coupled between the first circuit film and the second circuit film. The insulator spacer may include one or more pressure vent holes in a first side of the insulator spacer and one or more pressure vent holes in a second side of the insulator spacer to minimize a differential pressure between the inside and outside of the downhole membrane potentiometer.

Flow-through pressure transducer

A measuring system, for a physical variable, includes a housing, a measuring tube having at least one tubular deformation body having a cross-section which is deformed at least partially and which is configured to expand elastically under pressure, two feed sections attached to end sections of the deformation body, two sealing sections for sealingly coupling the measuring system to a process, and two molded support sections to carry the housing. A measuring sensor system measures values of at least one of a stretching or a widening at at least two points on a section of the deformation body. An evaluation unit evaluates measured values of the stretching and widening and outputs them as a measurement signal. The housing at least partially surrounds and stabilizes the measuring tube on an outside and is provided with a vacuum and/or a negative pressure compared to the outside atmosphere.

PRESSURE SENSORS, AND METHODS OF ASSEMBLING PRESSURE SENSORS, FOR DYNAMIC, HIGH PRESSURE, HYDRAULIC SYSTEMS

Described herein are examples of pressure sensors, and methods to assemble pressure sensors. In some examples, a pressure sensor uses gauges attached to a sensor tube of a sensor body to detect a pressure of fluid flowing within the sensor tube. In some examples, the sensor tube helps to isolate the gauges from some of the stresses that the rest of the sensor body may experience due to intense fluid pressures. In some examples, the sensor body has a one piece design that increases durability. In some examples, a sensor adapter may be attached to the sensor body and/or hardened by one or more techniques to reduce the chance of fluid leakage and/or further increase durability. The gauges, the sensor body, and/or the sensor adapter can be enclosed within a sensor cover, and encased within a potting material, to protect and/or insulate the components.
