SENSOR DEVICE FOR FLUID FITTING

A sensor device is provided for attachment to a surface of a fluid fitting, including a sensor portion comprising a sensor configured for detecting a physical parameter, a flexible circuit portion comprising a flexible circuit board and one or more circuit components supported by the flexible circuit board, and a rigid circuit portion comprising a rigid circuit board and one or more other circuit components by the circuit board. The sensor portion, flexible circuit portion, and rigid circuit portion are operatively coupled together and adapted to be affixed to said surface of said fluid fitting. In one example, a strain sensor is used. In another example, the fluid fitting comprises a coupling body defining a bore for receiving said fluid element therein. A ring is configured to fit over at least one end of the coupling body for mechanically attaching the coupling body to said fluid element.

Radiographic discernable sensors and orthopedic applications for same

Implantable sensors for determining bone health that can be utilized in conjunction with orthopedic implants are described. The sensors can include passive strain gauges or passive chemical sensors that can be read by radiographic imaging techniques. Sensors can be affixed to implantable support devices so as to non-invasively monitor the effect of load on the implant; for instance, to provide a quantitative assessment of when a fracture is sufficiently healed to allow safe weight-bearing upon the limb. Alternatively, sensors can monitor the health of a local implant area; for instance, to monitor the implant area of early stage infection or healing of a fusion procedure.

Mask adhesion determination device

A mask fitting level determination device includes a mask inner pressure detection unit inserted between a mask covering a mouth, nose and a face surface of a person to measure a pressure inside the mask. A circuit control unit derives information of a pressure value measured by the mask inner pressure detection unit and generates display information for the person wearing the mask. A determination display unit shows the person the display information generated by the circuit control unit. A battery unit supplies electricity to the circuit control unit and the determination display unit. A power supply switch starts and stops the supply of the electricity to the circuit control unit and the determination display unit. A start switch starts the mask inner pressure detection operation.

DUNNAGE DEVICE AND SYSTEM

An apparatus, method and system are provided which permit the monitoring of a dunnage bag used as a cushion in the transportation of cargo items which may be typically found in as shipping container. A gas pressure sensor may be attached directly to the dunnage bag and the pressure can be monitored remotely. The gas pressure sensor can also be enclosed within a sealed and pressurized enclosure whereby the gas sensor reading can serve as indication of pressure of a nearby dunnage bag within which the enclosure is in contact. The dunnage bag pressure readings can be wirelessly monitored from a remote location and the bag pressure may be controlled remotely.

Air data probe contamination monitor
