SENSOR DEVICE WITH FLIP-CHIP DIE AND INTERPOSER

A semiconductor sensor device includes a lead frame flag having a vent hole, an interposer mounted on the flag and having a vent hole in fluid communication with the vent hole of the flag, and a sensor die having an active region. The sensor die is mounted on and electrically connected to the interposer in a flip-chip manner such that the vent hole of the interposer is in fluid communication with the active region of the sensor die. Bond wires electrically connect the interposer to one or more other components of the device. A molding compound covers the sensor die, the interposer, and the bond wires. The sensor die may be a pressure-sensing (P-cell) die, and the device may also include a micro-controller unit (MCU) die and an acceleration-sensing (G-cell) die, for tire pressure monitoring applications.

PROCESS CONNECTION FOR A SENSOR AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE PROCESS CONNECTION

The present disclosure relates to a process connection for connecting a sensor to a process inlet via a process seal and a fixing element. The process connection includes a sensor housing and a clamping element. The sensor housing has a housing body configured to receive the sensor and a housing collar that extends around the housing body and has a first sealing section, which encircles the housing body, and a contact area. The housing collar is formed integrally with the housing body. The first sealing section is suitable for receiving the process seal to connect the process inlet to the housing collar in a fluid-tight manner. The clamping element has a contact area which is suitable for coming into contact with the contact area of the housing collar to press the housing collar onto the process seal.

MANIFOLD FOR MEASURING DIFFERENTIAL PRESSURE ON A GAS METER
20200103300 · 2020-04-02 ·

A manifold assembly configured to measure differential pressure of fluid. The manifold assembly may have a monolithic body with an internally drilled fluid pathway. The body supports a differential pressure transducer that communicates, on either end, with the internally drilled fluid pathway. This configuration can generate data that defines pressure drop across impellers or other mechanisms on metrology hardware (or gas meters). Utilities can use this data to diagnose health or other conditions on the gas meter in the field.
