BATTERY CELL LEAK INSPECTION DEVICE AND BATTERY CELL LEAK INSPECTION METHOD
An apparatus and a method for inspecting a leak of a battery cell are provided. An apparatus for inspecting a battery cell leak to inspect whether a battery cell leaks includes: a vacuum chamber including an upper chamber and a lower chamber and configured to set a receiving space to a controlled pressure different from an external first pressure, the upper chamber and the lower chamber being arranged to face each other with the receiving space for a battery cell therebetween and providing sealing for the receiving space; a vacuum pipe valve fluidly connected to the receiving space for the battery cell to set the receiving space to a second pressure less than the first pressure; and a thickness measuring sensor configured to measure a before-vacuum thickness of the battery cell under the first pressure and measure an after-vacuum thickness of the battery cell under the second pressure.
According to the present disclosure, an apparatus and a method for inspecting a battery cell leak, capable of easily and precisely capturing damage to an exterior material of a battery cell are provided.
CONDUIT IDENTIFYING METHOD AND APPARATUS
An apparatus or system for identifying a conduit, having a flexible wall, and comprising at least one open end. The apparatus or system has a gas pressure signal generator for applying a pressure signal at the open end of the conduit to be identified to cause the conduit to be subjected to an increase in internal gas pressure. At least one sensor is provided for measuring, at a measuring location remote from the open end, at least one of the following variables a) width of the conduit, b) diameter of the conduit, c) temperature of the conduit wall, d) load on the conduit wall, and e) strain on the conduit wall. The conduit is identified when the sensor(s) detect(s) a change or changes in the variable(s) experienced by the conduit so identified in response to the gas pressure signal.
ASSEMBLY FOR FORMING BAGS
Disclosed in an assembly for forming bags, having a belt drive for feeding a film at a film speed to a former shoulder to form a tubular film, a set of jaws movable at a jaw speed to engage and seal a tubular film to form a closed bag, and a sensor assembly to provide a volume signal indicative of a volume of the closed bag, wherein the controller is configured to adjust at least one of the film speed and the jaw speed in response to the volume signal.

Method for Leak Testing with a Foil Chamber with Vented Measurement Volume
Method for testing a test piece for the presence of a leak using a foil chamber, wherein the foil chamber has walls having at least one flexible wall region to which a measurement volume adjoins and is arranged on that side of the flexible wall region opposite the foil chamber volume and is hermetically separated from the foil chamber volume, having the following steps: placing the test piece in the foil chamber, closing the foil chamber, evacuating the foil chamber and monitoring the measurement volume during evacuation of the foil chamber, using the result of the monitoring to reach a conclusion regarding the magnitude of a leak, characterized in that a venting valve connecting the measurement volume to the atmosphere is closed when the pressure in the measurement volume is below a predefined threshold value, and is opened as soon as the pressure exceeds the threshold value.

Leak detection on a flexible test piece in a film chamber
The invention relates to a method for leakage detection on at least one flexible test piece in a film chamber, including inserting the at least one test piece into a film chamber, lowering the pressure in the film chamber outside the at least one test piece, and detecting a leakage in the at least one test piece by observing the spatial change of the film of the film chamber. The outer contour of the at least one test piece is transferred to at least one section of the film by the lowering of the pressure in the film chamber. The contour of the film is recorded with an image recording system, and the recorded images of the contour are compared with reference images of said contour in the event of a tight test piece.

LEAK DETECTION FOR AIRCRAFT
Disclosed is a sensor system for retrofitting a water supply of an airplane to detect leakage. The system includes a housing having a first band with an inner diameter sized to receive a necked portion of a valve for consumer access to the water supply. The system includes a first transducer disposed on the first band operable to provide a position measurement corresponding to a relative position between a head of the valve and the necked portion. The system includes a second transducer operable to provide a pressure measurement corresponding to a pressure of a compressed gas in a water tank of the water supply. The system includes a controller having input channels operable to receive the position measurement and the pressure measurement. The controller is operable to indicate a leak condition.
