Method and system for automatic quality inspection of materials and virtual material surfaces

The present document describes methods and systems for the automatic inspection of material quality. A set of lights with a geometric pattern is cast on a material to be analyzed. Depending on the material being inspected, same may act as a mirror and the reflected image is captured by a capture device, or the light passes through the material being inspected and the image is captured by a capture device. Defects in the material can be detected by the distortion caused by same in the pattern of the reflected image or passing through. Finally, software is used to identify and locate these distortions, and consequently the defects in the material. This classification of defects is carried out using artificial intelligence techniques.

A method for grouping prosthetic valve leaflets of an aggregate of prosthetic valve leaflets is provided. Using a computer processor, for each leaflet of the aggregate, in response to an image parameter of the leaflet, a leaflet-flexibility value is derived. A group size value is provided to the processor. Using the processor, at least some of the leaflets of the aggregate are designated into leaflet groups, based on similarity between the respective leaflet-flexibility value of each leaflet of the aggregate. Each of the leaflet groups includes a number of leaflets equal to the group size value. Using the processor, an indication of the designated leaflet groups is outputted. A stress distribution measurement method is a method of measuring stress distribution generated on a structural object including two support parts and a beam part provided between the support parts. The method includes: generating first image data by performing, through a first image capturing unit, image capturing of a moving object or an identification display object attached to the structural object from the moving object; calculating, based on the first image data, a movement duration in which the moving object moves between the support parts; generating, as second image data, thermal image data by performing image capturing of the surface of the beam part through a second image capturing unit; calculating a temperature change amount based on a second image data group corresponding to the movement duration; and calculating a stress change amount based on the temperature change amount to calculate stress distribution based on the stress change amount.

Method and line for checking tyres for vehicle wheels

A checking method and line for checking a tyre for vehicle wheels. The tyre is associated with a model associated with a setting for image acquisition devices. Once the model is obtained, preliminary images of the tyre are acquired, from which at least one adjustment value representative of at least one geometric characteristic of the tyre is obtained. A deviation between the at least one adjustment value and a respective reference value associated with the model is then calculated. The setting associated with the model of tyre is then adjusted based on the calculated deviation and the tyre is then inspected to look for possible production defects by acquiring images of at least part of the surface of the tyre using the image acquisition devices, set according to the adjusted setting.

INTELLIGENT AND AUTOMATED REVIEW OF INDUSTRIAL ASSET INTEGRITY DATA

In some embodiments, a meta-data inspection data store may contain hierarchical components and subcomponents of an industrial asset and define points of interest. An industrial asset inspection platform may access that information and generate an inspection plan, including an association of at least one sensor type with each of the points of interest. The platform may then store information about the inspection plan in an inspection plan data store and receive inspection data (e.g., from a manual inspection, from an inspection robot, from a fixed sensor, etc.). A smart tagging algorithm may be executed to associate at least one point of interest with an appropriate portion of the received inspection data based on information in the inspection plan data store.

The displacement calculator calculates a displacement of the measurement point by using the captured image. The rigidity calculator calculates the rigidity of the object to be measured by using the load and the displacement.

A system for measuring displacements of a blade root of a rotor blade of a wind turbine is disclosed. The system comprises a hub, a rotor blade coupled to the hub by a pitch bearing. The system further comprises a reference plane and at least one displacement sensor. The reference plane is configured to move with the rotor blade as the rotor blade moves relative to the hub while the displacement sensor is fixed to the hub and the displacement sensor is configured to detect a displacement of the reference plane relative to the hub without physical contact. Alternatively, the reference plane has a fixed position with respect to the hub while the displacement sensor is fixed to the rotor blade and the displacement sensor is configured to detect a displacement of the reference plane relative to the rotor blade without physical contact.
