MODULAR SHELVING AND STEP ASSEMBLY
An assembly includes a plurality of shelving components and posts. The shelving components include a body, a male portion that extends from a first end of the body and a female portion that defines a void in an opposite, second end. The male portion is narrower and shorter than the body. The female portion is sized and shaped to receive the male portion of another shelving component. The shelving components also include first apertures defined by and extending through the male portion, and second apertures defined by and extending through the female portion. The posts are sized and shaped to be inserted into overlapping apertures of first and second shelving components, the overlapping apertures comprising (i) a first aperture in a male portion of the first component inserted into a female portion of the second component and (ii) a second aperture in the female portion of the second component.
POST COUPLERS
A post coupler has one or more positive post stops therein limiting extension of an end of a post section in or over the coupler beyond the stop. The stops may be freely extended tabs or stop embossments from or in the coupler flanges. Outside wrap, inside wrap and hidden post couplers are disclosed, as well as assembly methods.
Modular holiday tree device
The modular holiday tree device is a convertible item of furniture for domestic use. The modular holiday tree device is multi-functional. The function of the modular holiday tree device converts between a floor lamp, an apparel rack, a display rack, and a holiday tree. The modular holiday tree device comprises a base, a stanchion, and an electric fixture.
HEAVY DUTY SHELVING ASSEMBLY
Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to an apparatus comprising a heavy duty shelving assembly. The apparatus comprises shelving assemblies that may be used to store relatively heavy objects such as vehicle components, athletic weights, or the like. The apparatus comprises a plurality of vertical columns including column members that are selectively coupled to one another, a plurality of horizontal supports that extend between the column members, and a plurality of shelves that are positioned on the horizontal supports. The apparatus may also include a center brace extending between opposing horizontal supports. The horizontal supports include a truss portion connected to a support portion; the truss portion distributes the downward forces applied to the support portion by the shelves. The design of the apparatus and the truss increases the downward forces that may be applied to the shelf, thereby increasing the weight capacity of the shelves and the apparatus. The column members are configured for selective coupling by incorporating a main portion that comprises a plurality of apertures and a coupling portion that extends outward from the main portion such that it may accept at least part of a main portion of an adjacent column member. The coupling portion further comprises one or more engagement tabs that are configured to engage the apertures of an adjacent column member. In at least one embodiment, the engagement tabs are formed through stamping, thereby minimizing or entirely eliminating areas where stress can concentrate when the apparatus is under load. This feature reduces or eliminates the potential of a partial failure when the apparatus is under load.
RETAIL DISPLAY ARRANGEMENT
The present arrangement includes a plurality of substantially identical thermoformed shelves, each constructed with a surface and four legs. Any two of the plurality of shelves are such that the four legs of any one shelf are constructed to mate with the four legs of any other shelf. Any two of the plurality of shelves are such that the surface of one shelf mates against the surface of another of any one of the shelves. The arrangement is constructed with at least two of the plurality of shelves are arranged leg to leg and at least two of the plurality of shelves are arranged surface to surface.
Furniture and other item assembly method and system
A hardware system for assembly to form an item, such as an item of furniture. The system includes a tension adjustment device, such as a turnbuckle, which may be threadably engaged with two rods, inserted into two rod inserts located on each of the turnbuckle's two opposite sides. The rods may pass through a series of alternating base material components and spacers therebewteen to form an item's body, the turnbuckle being located, for example, in or near the middle of the two series. The ends of the rods opposite the turnbuckle may be threaded into inserts fixed in an end piece of base material of their respective series. The turnbuckle may be twisted or otherwise adjusted to secure or compress the system. A final assembly may have one or more such series and may give the illusion of a solid bar of hardware being passed through the base material.
Post coupler with post alignment tab
A post coupler having a first body portion and a second body portion. Each body portion having an inner edge, an outer edge, a reverse flange, and at least one post alignment tab. Each reverse flange forms a post receiving slot. The first and second body portions are coupled to each other at approximately 90 degrees. A method of using the post coupler comprises the steps of a) providing a first post section and a second post section, b) inserting the first post section along the post receiving slots until the first notch interacts with the tab, and c) inserting the second post section along the post receiving slots until the second notch interacts with the tab.
Spliced storage box and a splicing structure between adjacent side panels thereof
A spliced storage box and a splicing structure between adjacent side panels of the spliced storage box are provided. The splicing structure comprises two side panels, a post, and a pressing strip. A side of the post comprises a notch, each corner of two sides of the notch comprises a first positioning edge and a second positioning edge intersecting the first positioning edge. Side edges, which are adjacent to each other, of the two side panels each bend and define a first abutting edge and a second abutting edge. The first abutting edge is disposed at an outer end of a respective one of the two side panels, and the first abutting edge and the second abutting edge respectively abut the first positioning edge and the second positioning edge. The pressing strip is connected to the post and is pressed to the first abutting edges of the two side panels.
VARIABLE PLANFORM SHELVING SYSTEM
Variable planform shelving systems include a variable support platform and a support surface assembly that is supported by the variable support platform. The variable support platform includes frames that can be repositioned relative to each other to vary the planform of the variable support platform. The support surface assembly provides a support surface for supported items. The support surface assembly is flexible and/or comprised of a plurality of linked panels so that the support surface provided varies in response to variation in the planform of the variable support platform.
