INNER-WALL MEASURING INSTRUMENT AND OFFSET-AMOUNT CALCULATION METHOD
An inner-wall measuring instrument includes: a placement surface on which an object to be measured is placed; a base relatively movable with respect to the placement surface in three axis directions orthogonal to one another; a touch probe that is disposed at a first position of the base and brought into contact with the object; an image probe that is disposed at a second position of the base and capable of imaging the object with a direction parallel to the placement surface being an imaging direction; a rotational drive unit that rotates the image probe around an axis extending in a direction perpendicular to the placement surface; a linear drive unit that moves the image probe in the imaging direction; and a calculator that calculates an offset amount between the touch probe disposed at the first position and the image probe disposed at the second position.
DATA PROCESSING METHOD
A data processing method is a data processing method in which variable measurement data transmitted from a sensor at a first cycle is computationally processed at a second cycle that is longer than the first cycle. The measurement data is acquired in a third cycle that is longer than the first cycle and shorter than the second cycle, an average value of the acquired measurement data is calculated at the second cycle, and computation processing thereof is performed.
PHYSICAL QUANTITY DETECTION DEVICE
To improve measurement stability of a flow rate detection unit in a physical quantity detection device, a periphery of a synthetic resin material is provided with a protruding section protruding to a cover side. A physical quantity detection device includes a housing, a front cover fixed to the housing, a circuit board housed in the housing, a flow rate detection unit that detects, in a sub-path, the flow rate of a gas to be measured by being attached to the circuit board, a connecting wire that electrically connects the flow rate detection unit to the circuit board, and a synthetic resin material that seals a connecting wire-included connection portion between the circuit board and the flow rate detection unit, the front cover having a protruding section covering at least a part of the synthetic resin material by protruding into the sub-path.
METHOD AND SYSTEMS FOR A RADIATOR FAN
Systems and a method are provided for determining a change in performance of a radiator fan. In one example, a system includes a controller configured to receive a signal output from an accelerometer positioned proximately to and/or operatively coupled with a bearing of a radiator fan, process the signal to determine a peak to peak acceleration value, and indicate a change in performance of the radiator fan when the peak to peak acceleration value is greater than a designated threshold value.
Method for generating a pulse signal sequence
A method for generating a pulse signal sequence using a processor unit is provided that allows calibrating a tip timing measurement system in a turbomachine in order to increase operational security and lifespan of the turbomachine. This is achieved by the method having the steps of: storing a number of wait time elements in a memory unit, creating a pulse signal in a signal output unit during at least one processor cycle, reading a wait time element from the memory unit, and creating a null signal in the signal output unit for a number of processor cycles derived from the wait time element read.
Closed breather disconnection detection method
Disclosed is a method for detecting disconnection of a closed breather 18 separating and recovering oil mist from blow-by gas 17 extracted from an engine 1 to return the blow-by gas through a gas return pipe 19 to an intake pipe 5. Under condition of no exhaust gas 9 recirculation being conducted, a mass flow rate of in-cylinder working gas is calculated based on a boost pressure, an intake temperature of an intake manifold 7 and a rotational frequency of the engine, and whether the calculated mass flow rate is divergent from a value detected by an air flow sensor 24 is determined. When determined to be divergent, the divergence in a last determination is compared with a current divergence; if difference between the divergences is beyond a predetermined range, the gas return pipe 19 is determined to be in disconnection from the intake pipe 5.
Crankcase ventilation device
A crankcase ventilation device features a closing valve with a valve body, the valve body executes a positioning movement between a closed and an opened position. A sensor device for detecting the positioning movement of the valve body is disposed in the housing.
Engine oil dipstick monitoring apparatus
An engine oil dipstick for monitoring an internal combustion engine comprises a processor and a sensor module. The sensor module is configured to sense a characteristic of the internal combustion engine and to output data representative of the sensed characteristic to the processor. The engine oil dipstick is configured to provide a housing for the processor. The processor is configured to determine a value representative of the firing frequency of the internal combustion engine based on the output data.
Engine
An engine including an exhaust bypass valve and an intake bypass valve. The exhaust bypass valve is disposed in an exhaust bypass channel connecting an outlet of an exhaust manifold and an exhaust outlet of a turbocharger to each other. The intake bypass valve is disposed in an intake bypass channel connecting an inlet of an intake manifold and an inlet of the turbocharger. An intake pressure sensor detects a pressure of the intake manifold. If an instruction value indicating an upper limit or a lower limit of the valve opening degree of the intake bypass valve is continuously output for a predetermined time or more, an engine control device determines that an abnormality occurs in at least one of the exhaust bypass valve and the intake bypass valve.
Detecting a state of an air diverter valve of an air induction system for a vehicle
Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for determining a state of an air diverter valve of an air induction system of a vehicle. The determined state of the air diverter valve may be based on an intercooler-based estimated ambient air temperature and a comparison between an ambient air temperature sensor value and a pre-compressor sensor value.
