Method for measuring the pressure of a compressed gaseous fuel in a supply line of an engine equipping a motor vehicle and associated measuring device
A method for measuring pressure of a gaseous fuel compressed in a feed system of an engine equipping a motor vehicle, by a pressure measuring device having an infrared quality sensor and an electronic control unit, the measuring method being characterized in that it consists in determining a corrected absorbance value of the fuel based on absorbance measurements performed by infrared analysis, at preset wavelengths, and in comparing the value to a nominal absorbance value, determined beforehand based on absorbance measurements performed at a nominal pressure after a pressure stabilization phase of the fuel and at the same said wavelengths, in order to determine the fuel pressure.

Device and method for diagnosing positive crankcase ventilation breather line
A device and a method for diagnosing a positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) breather line. The device includes: a crankcase pressure sensor that is installed on the PCV breather line including a front end connected to an intake line and a rear end connected to a crankcase and detects a pressure inside the crankcase; and a processor that diagnoses an abnormality of the PCV breather line based on the pressure of the crankcase.

Gas turbine engine with heat exchanger diagnostics
A gas turbine engine has a compressor section and a turbine section. A secondary cooling air includes a first fluid connection to tap cooling air and pass the cooling air through a plurality of tubes, and a second fluid connection for returning air from the tubes back to at least one of the compressor and turbine for cooling. A sensor senses a condition of the cooling air downstream of the tubes and a control compares the sensed condition of the cooling air to an expected condition, and to identify a potential concern in the cooling air system should the sensed condition differ from the expected condition by more than a predetermined amount.
