Semiconductor Analysis System
A semiconductor analysis system includes a machining device that machines a semiconductor wafer to prepare a thin film sample for observation, a transmission electron microscope device that acquires a transmission electron microscope image of the thin film sample, and a host control device that controls the machining device and the transmission electron microscope device. The host control device evaluates the thin film sample based on the transmission electron microscope image, updates acquisition conditions of the transmission electron microscope image based on an evaluation result of the thin film sample, and outputs the updated acquisition conditions to the transmission electron microscope device
ASSAY SYSTEM INCLUDING ASSAY APPARATUS AND HANDHELD SINGLE USE ASSAY DEVICES FOR USE THEREWITH
Assay system including assay apparatus and handheld single use assay devices for ElectroMagnetic Radiation (EMR) examination of a specimen. The assay devices include a housing, a specimen slide for elevation from an initial lowermost specimen introduction position to a final uppermost specimen examination position and a built-in liquid reagent dispensing arrangement for dispensing liquid reagent on the specimen slide. The assay apparatus automatically actuates an assay device and includes an imaging arrangement for obtaining specimen images.
Automated specimen deposition systems and associated methods
Systems and methods that enable automated spray deposition of biological specimens carried on microscope slides are described herein. Aspects of the technology are directed, for example, to automated specimen deposition systems and methods of generating high-quality, reproducible specimen-bearing microscope slides in automated processing systems.
METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR SLIDE PROCESSING
Various examples of systems and methods are provided for slide processing. In one example, among others, a system for processing microscope slides includes a slide positioner that can adjust a position of a slide and a slide treatment system that can dispense a micro stream of a fluid at a location on the slide when the slide is positioned beneath a jet nozzle of the slide treatment system. The system can include a slide sled that can align a smearing slide with a surface of the slide including a fluid sample is disposed, and support the smearing slide at a predefined angle with respect to the surface of the slide. In another example, a method includes obtaining a slide including a sample disposed on a surface, positioning the slide below to a jet nozzle, and dispensing a micro stream of a fluid onto the sample using the jet nozzle.
METHODS OF PRESERVING A BIOLOGICAL SAMPLE
Provided herein are methods of preserving a biological sample on a first substrate, the methods including: (a) disposing a biological sample on a first substrate; (b) delivering a spacer agent to the first substrate, wherein the spacer agent is applied around the biological sample on the first substrate, thereby generating a chamber around the biological sample; (c) delivering a mounting agent to the chamber; and (d) assembling the first substrate with a second substrate, thereby preserving the biological sample on the first substrate.
Sample dispersing device
A sample dispersing device contains a container inside of which a dispersal chamber where a power sample is dispersed is formed, and an introducing mechanism that introduces a gas containing the powder sample from the outside of the container into the dispersal chamber based on a pressure difference between the inside and the outside of the container. The introducing mechanism contains an introduction pipe where the gas containing the powder sample flows, and several restrictors arranged in the introduction pipe.
ADHESIVE TAPE FOR COLLECTING SKIN INDIGENOUS MICROORGANISMS, METHOD OF EVALUATING PHYSICAL CONDITION OF SUBJECT, METHOD OF PRESENTING INFORMATION TO SUBJECT AND METHOD OF SCREENING FOR SUBSTANCE CAPABLE OF IMPROVING OR PREVENTING PHYSICAL CONDITION, AND ADHESIVE TAPE FOR COLLECTING SKIN METABOLITES
Provided is an adhesive tape for collecting skin indigenous microorganisms, the adhesive tape being capable of providing improved collection yields of skin indigenous microorganisms on a skin surface. This adhesive tape is for collecting skin indigenous microorganisms, is used to collect skin indigenous microorganism on a skin surface, and comprises a base material and an adhesive layer provided on at least a portion of a surface of the base material, wherein the adhesive layer contains an adhesive, and the adhesive contains a rubber adhesive. The adhesive tape has an adhesive strength of 10.0 N or more when a 12 mm-wide test piece thereof is pressure-bonded to a Bakelite plate by one reciprocation of a 2 kg roller and then measured for adhesive strength at a pulling speed of 300 mm/min and a pulling angle of 90° according to JIS Z 0237: 2009, and the adhesive tape has a peel strength of 0.25 N or more when a 12 mm-wide test piece thereof is measured using a silicone-treated fine paper sheet as a release sheet and measured for peel strength at a pulling speed of 300 mm/min and a pulling angle of 180° according to JIS Z 0237: 2009.
Device and system for analyzing a sample, particularly blood, as well as methods of using the same
The present invention is related to the field of bio/chemical sampling, sensing, assays and applications. Particularly, the present invention is related to how to make the sampling/sensing/assay become simple to use, fast to results, highly sensitive, easy to use, using tiny sample volume (e.g., 0.5 μL or less), operated by a person without any professionals, reading by mobile-phone, or low cost, or a combination of them.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR AUTOMATED PREPARATION OF BIOLOGICAL SPECIMENS
An automated system for processing a sample contained in a liquid sample container includes an automated tool head configured to rotate about a first axis, and to translate along a second axis different than the first axis, an analytic element positioner having an analytic element holder configured to releasably grip an analytic element, and a specimen transfer device carried by the tool head, wherein the tool head is configured to automatically position a working end of the specimen transfer device to obtain a specimen from a sample container held in the sample container holder, and to transfer the obtained specimen to an analytic element held by the analytic element holder, respectively, through one or both of rotation of the tool head about the first axis and translation of the tool head along the second axis.
