Gas detection system for gynecological disease detection and detection method using the same
A gas detection system for gynecological disease detection and a detection method using the same are provided. The gas detection system is configured to detect an analyte from a female vagina and includes a main body, a sleeve, a detector, a pump, and a controller. The main body includes a body portion and a head portion having an intake channel. The body portion includes a detection chamber and an exhaust channel. The detector includes at least one sensor configured to detect at least one target of the analyte and produce at least one detection signal. The pump is communicated with the detection chamber and the exhaust channel. The controller includes a processing unit and a first communication unit. The processing unit receives the at least one detection signal and controls the first communication unit to send the at least one detection signal.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR ASSESSING CELL PROPERTIES UNDER CONTROLLED GAS ENVIRONMENTS
The invention in some aspects relates to high throughput methods and devices for evaluating mechanical, morphological, kinetic, rheological or hematological properties of cells, such as blood cells under regulated gas conditions. In some aspects, the invention relates to methods and devices for diagnosing and/or characterizing a condition or disease in a subject by measuring a property of a cell from the subject, under controlled gas conditions.
Apparatus for separation of particles
Methods and apparatus for separation of particles based on deformability, and for measurement of particle deformability are provided.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR ASSESSING CELL CONTRACTION
A method for assessing cell contraction includes adhering contractile cells to an oxidized and cellular adhesion activated surface of a biocompatible silicone elastomer film. The biocompatible silicone elastomer film allows the cells to contract and wrinkles when the cells contract. Wrinkles in the biocompatible silicone elastomer film formed by contraction of the contractile cells are analyzed to assess cell contraction.
Biological particle analyzer and method of analyzing biological particles
A method of analyzing biological particles for a biological particle analyzer includes outputting a first detection result when at least one particle has arrived at the first detection area, outputting a second detection result to the control module when the particles have arrived at the second detection area, and determining when to turn on or off the light emission source and outputting a control signal to turn on or off the light emission source according to the first detection result, wherein a control module is configured to calculate a turn-on time according to different particle characteristics and an average velocity of the at least one particle, and the light emission source is turned on only when the at least one particle is being tested during the turn-on time.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING RHEOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF DEFORMABLE BODIES
Method for determining rheological properties of deformable bodies, the method comprising leading the bodies in an immersion fluid through a microfluidic channel, measuring the deformation of those bodies by the forces exerted on the bodies due the hydrodynamic interactions with the surrounding fluid, determining the rheological properties of the bodies using the measurements, wherein the high frequency rheological properties of the bodies are determined using a truncated Fourier transform of the measurement data.
