Electrochemiluminescence immunosensor using carbon nanochips, iron oxide and nafion nanocomposite
The present application discloses an electrochemiluminescence (ECL) immunosensor. The ECL immunosensor includes an electrode modified by a nanocomposite comprising a mixture of carbon nanochips (CNCs); iron oxide (Fe.sub.3O.sub.4); and nafion (NAF). The electrode is a screen-printed electrode which further is a carbon screen-printed electrode (SPE). The carbon screen-printed electrode (SPE) is a mesoporous carbon screen-printed electrode (SPE). Ru(bpy).sub.3Cl.sub.2.6H.sub.2O is a luminophore and TPrA is a coreactant of the luminophore.
Device and methods for detection of analytes including use of a colorimetric barcode
Embodiments described herein related to devices and methods for the collection and/or determination of analytes, such as illicit substances including military explosives, explosives, and precursors thereof. In some cases, the device may be a disposable device that incorporates highly efficient sample collection in combination with microfluidic-based chemical analysis resulting in the rapid detection and identification of unknown materials. In some cases, multiple colorimetric detection chemistries may be employed, and the resulting “barcode” of color changes can be used to positively identify the presence and/or identity of the analyte.

Apparatus for transmission electron microscopy cathodoluminescence
Apparatuses for collection of upstream and downstream transmission electron microscopy (TEM) cathodoluminescence (CL) emitted from a sample exposed to an electron beam are described. A first fiber optic cable carries first CL light emitted from a first TEM sample surface, into a spectrograph. A second fiber optic cable carries second CL light emitted from a second TEM sample surface into the spectrograph. The first and second fiber optic cables are positioned such that the spectrograph produces a first light spectrum for the first fiber optic cable and a separate light spectrum for the second fiber optic cable. The described embodiments allow collection of TEM CL data in a manner that allows analyzing upstream and downstream TEM CL signals separately and simultaneously with an imaging spectrograph.

Automated optical device monitoring
Techniques are described for using an optical sensor to monitor light produced by an indicator light of a monitoring system. The optical sensors can monitor attributes of the indicator light in order to detect a blink pattern outputted by the indicator light. In some implementations, video data indicating a blink pattern of a device within a property is obtained. One or more attributes of the blink pattern are identified based on processing the obtained video data. A status for the device is determined based at least on the one or more identified attributes. A system action that corresponds to the status is determined. The system action corresponding to the determined status is performed.
