Arrangement and method for contactless determination of a dimension of a moving web
The invention relates to an arrangement for contactless determination of at least one dimension of a moving material web, in particular a material web of opaque material, with a background illumination, with optical detection means for detecting at least one current contrast image and with evaluation means, wherein the background illumination is arranged opposite the optical detection means, wherein the material web moves in a plane between the at least one optical detection means and the background illumination, and wherein the current contrast image has at least one piece of information about at least one light intensity laterally adjacent to the material web. Furthermore, the present invention concerns a corresponding process. For simplifying and improving the non-contact determination of the dimension, the present invention proposes to provide a shadowing element and to compare the current contrast image with a reference contrast image, wherein the current contrast image represents a shadowing of the background illumination by the material web and by the shadowing element.
Arrangement and method for contactless determination of a dimension of a moving web
The invention relates to an arrangement for contactless determination of at least one dimension of a moving material web, in particular a material web of opaque material, with a background illumination, with optical detection means for detecting at least one current contrast image and with evaluation means, wherein the background illumination is arranged opposite the optical detection means, wherein the material web moves in a plane between the at least one optical detection means and the background illumination, and wherein the current contrast image has at least one piece of information about at least one light intensity laterally adjacent to the material web. Furthermore, the present invention concerns a corresponding process. For simplifying and improving the non-contact determination of the dimension, the present invention proposes to provide a shadowing element and to compare the current contrast image with a reference contrast image, wherein the current contrast image represents a shadowing of the background illumination by the material web and by the shadowing element.
PAPER SHEET PROCESSING DEVICE, PAPER SHEET PROCESSING METHOD, AND FLUORESCENT IMAGE CORRECTION METHOD
According to an embodiment, a paper sheet processing device includes a fluorescence reference member, a light source, and a sensor. The fluorescence reference member is configured to demonstrate fluorescence in accordance with an intensity of excitation light applied. The light source configured to apply the excitation light to the fluorescence reference member and a paper sheet. The sensor configured to take, at a plurality of sensitivity wavelengths, images of irradiation surfaces of the fluorescence reference member and the paper sheet being irradiated with the excitation light. The fluorescence reference member includes a transmittance control element for the excitation light.
LIGHTING DEVICE AND INSPECTION DEVICE
A lighting device (23) irradiates a web under conveyance with light. The lighting device includes a light source (43), and an irradiation port (61) configured to open linearly in a widthwise direction of the web at an end portion facing the web. The irradiation port (61) is formed between first and second parallel portions (62b, 63b) where a first plate member (62) and a second plate member (63) parallelly face each other. The web under conveyance is irradiated with linear light. It is possible to provide a lighting device capable of irradiating only an inspection region of a sheet or a web with light.
Measurement of industrial products manufactured by extrusion techniques
The invention relates to apparatus for monitoring an extruded product moving in an inline extrusion process so as to effect quality control of the process by continuously measuring dimensional parameters and determining the existence of contaminants in the extrusion. The apparatus makes use of Terahertz radiation which is adapted to provide a curtain of parallel rays of the radiation which is scanned across the product as the product passes therethrough in a linear manner. The composition of the emitted radiation received after the scanning process is subject to an imaging analysis to determine the dimensional parameters of the moving products. The imaging analysis involves applying correction values to the measured transit times of the rays crossing the products which depends on its position within the curtain of rays thereby to remove inaccuracies in the final measurement results.
