The sample inlet is connected to the top part of the stagnant zone. The sample outlet is connected to the sidewall of the stagnant zone. The magnetic stirrer is disposed at the bottom part of the stagnant zone. The ultrasonic probe is disposed on the top part of the stagnant zone.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ULTRASONIC INSPECTION
An ultrasonic inspection system determines whether or not a thermally conductive resin forming a thermally conductive resin layer is filled through a waveform change of an ultrasonic wave measured by transmitting the ultrasonic wave toward a portion of an edge of a bottom surface of a module frame from the outside.
Ultrasonic transducer with reduced backing reflection
A well tool can be used in a wellbore that can measure characteristics of an object in the wellbore. The well tool includes an ultrasonic transducer for generating an ultrasonic wave in a medium of the wellbore. The ultrasonic transducer includes a front layer, a rear layer, backing material coupled to the rear layer, and piezoelectric material coupled to the front layer and to the backing material. The rear layer can improve signal-to-noise ratio of the transducer in applications such as imaging and caliper applications.
Method and system for determining process properties using active acoustic spectroscopy
There is provided a method for determining material properties in an active acoustic spectroscopy system, the method comprising: acquiring a multidimensional acoustic spectrum from a material in a container using acoustic spectroscopy; reducing the dimensionality of the acoustic spectrum using a mathematical dimensionality reduction method, thereby forming a reduced acoustic spectrum describing a material state; and determining if the material state belongs to a predetermined material state cluster. There is also provided a system for performing the described method.

Ultrasonic fluid measuring arrangement with at least two waveguide parts spaced apart on an outer wall of a measuring tube
A fluid measuring arrangement with a flow channel for a fluid to be measured having at least two areas of an outer wall forming waveguide parts for surface acoustic waves. The waveguide parts are spaced apart from each other along the circumference of the flow channel. A first and/or a second signal converter is arranged at each waveguide part, wherein at least two first signal converters arranged on different waveguide parts or two second signal converters arranged on different waveguide parts are spaced with respect to each other in the axial direction of the flow channel.
Systems and methods for evaluating electrolyte wetting and distribution
Systems and techniques for measuring process characteristics including electrolyte distribution in a battery cell. A non-destructive method for analyzing a battery cell includes determining acoustic features at two or more locations of the battery cell, the acoustic features based on one or more of acoustic signals travelling through at least one or more portions of the battery cell during one or more points in time or responses to the acoustic signals obtained during one or more points in time, wherein the one or more points in time correspond to one or more stages of electrolyte distribution in the battery cell. One or more characteristics of the battery cell are determined based on the acoustic features at the two or more locations of the battery cell.
FLUID SENSOR
A fluid sensing apparatus and method for detecting pressure and the presence of bubbles within a fluid tube. The fluid sensor comprises a housing configured to receive a portion of the tube and to house the pressure sensor and the ultrasonic transmitter. The pressure sensor is positioned adjacent the tube and is configured to receive a pressure sensor signal, which correlates to a detected pressure differential within the tube. A controller transmits a drive signal to the ultrasonic transmitter, which emits ultrasonic waves through a portion of the tube and to the pressure sensor. The pressure sensor receives both the ultrasonic waves and a pressure sensor signal, and subsequently transmits an output signal to the controller. In the presence of a pressure differential or a bubble within the tube, the output signal will exhibit a DC shift or a distortion of its signal characteristics, respectively.
