HUMIDITY CONDITIONING MATERIAL, HUMIDITY CONDITIONING DEVICE, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HUMIDITY CONDITIONING MATERIAL
Provided is a humidity conditioning material with which an amount of absorbed moisture or an amount of released moisture is easily understood. Moreover, provided is a humidity conditioning device including the above humidity conditioning material. Furthermore, provided is a method for manufacturing a humidity conditioning material with which an amount of absorbed moisture or an amount of released moisture is easily understood, and the humidity conditioning material has high humidity conditioning performance. In addition, the humidity conditioning material includes: a humidity conditioning liquid containing a hygroscopic substance; and a holding portion holding the humidity conditioning liquid into a predetermined shape. The holding portion is formed of a polymeric material. The hygroscopic substance contains a hygroscopic metal salt. The humidity conditioning liquid contains a pH indicator, and changes in color in accordance with an amount of moisture contained in the humidity conditioning liquid.
INDICATOR FILM
A self-supporting film (10) comprises a gas barrier layer (20); a semi-permeable layer (40); and an indicator material (30), preferably a colorimetric indicator material, is provided between the gas barrier layer (20) and the semi-permeable layer (40). The indicator material (30) is in direct contact with the gas barrier layer (20). The film (10) is particularly useful as an item of packaging, particularly in packaging for perishable materials.

and in that hydrophilic state of hydrophilic copolymer is dependent on ionisation of said ionisable groups, moieties or monomers; kit and device comprising the material and process for preparation thereof; and use in detecting or sensing microbes or pH.
Method and device for the determination of film forming amines in a liquid
A photometric method for determination of a concentration of a film forming amine in a liquid, including providing a buffer solution of a weak acid having a pKa≥4.5 and a strong acid having a pKa≤1; diluting an aliquot of the buffer solution with water, and determining the pH of the diluted buffer solution; adding reagent to the diluted buffer solution and measuring an initial absorbance of the diluted buffer/reagent solution; preparing a sample solution by adding liquid containing the film forming amine to an aliquot of the buffer solution and measuring the pH of the sample solution; adjusting the pH of the sample solution to match the pH of the diluted buffer solution by adding strong acid; and adding the reagent to the pH adjusted sample solution to form a colored complex, and measuring the absorbance of the resulting solution in a photometer.
SENSOR FOR MEASURING A PH VALUE OF A MEASURING LIQUID
A sensor for measuring a pH value of a measuring liquid includes: a sensor element comprising a surface adapted to contact the measuring liquid; a radiation source configured to emit electromagnetic transmission radiation reaching the sensor element, wherein at least a portion of the transmission radiation is converted into measuring radiation by reflection and/or scattering in the region of the surface; a radiation receiver configured to receive the measuring radiation and convert it into electrical signals; and a measuring circuit connected to the radiation receiver and configured to determine a measured value representing the pH value of the measuring liquid from signals of the radiation receiver, wherein the surface adapted to contact the measuring liquid includes a pH-sensitive component and a SERS-active component.

Solution composition for extracting available phosphate, available silicate and cation exchange in soil
Disclosed is a leaching solution composition for extracting available phosphate in soil, the composition including 100 parts by weight of a leaching solution containing acetic acid, lactic acid, ammonium fluoride, ammonium sulfate, and sodium hydroxide, of which the weights are 110% of the weights of constituent ingredients of a leaching solution for extracting available phosphate in soil, used in the Lancaster method and 0.001 parts by weight of a bromocresol green indicator.

A floating device acting as a target for enhancing the accuracy of a urine stream. When placed inside a toilet bowl, the target provides visual stimulation and cognitive reinforcement in response to contact with urine. The target may comprise a hull with a cavity. A reactive substance may be placed in the cavity of the hull. The reactive substance may provide a visual stimulation or cognitive reinforcement when contacted by the urine stream. A top portion may be fit against the hull to retain the reactive substance in the cavity of the hull. A barrier layer may cover at least a portion of the hull and/or the top portion. The barrier layer may be semi-permeable or selectively permeable to water when contacted by a urine stream from a user.
