A TIME-TEMPERATURE INDICATOR BASED ON INCREASED THERMAL REACTIVITY OF A DIACETYLENE UPON MELT RECRYSTALLIZATION
This application relates to a time-temperature indicator based on increased thermal reactivity of a diacetylene upon melt recrystallization and a method of making it. A diacetylene is crystallized into a low thermal reactivity phase from a solvent system and converted into a higher thermal reactivity phase and low sensitivity to UV light by melt re-crystallization.
INDICATOR DEVICE
There is described an indicator device comprising: an indicator section comprising an indicator material that displays different visible properties in response to the presence or absence of an activating agent; an activator section comprising an activating agent that effects a change in the visible properties of the indicator material; and a barrier section comprising a barrier layer that is substantially impermeable to the activating agent, the barrier section being located between the indicator section and the activator section; wherein at least part of the barrier layer is configurable to allow the activating agent and the indicator material to come into contact with each other, thereby effecting a visible change. The device may be used to detect or report the passage of time and can be applied to perishable goods and/or associated packaging to show that packaging has been compromised and/or that the device has been compromised.
Time and/or temperature sensitive devices and methods of use thereof
An apparatus, system and method for a time temperature indicator (TTI) which is capable of providing a summary of the time and temperature history of a good to which it is coupled, optionally including with regard to providing an indication as to whether one or more temperature thresholds have been breached. According to other embodiments, the TTI specifically provides an indication as to whether a temperature threshold at or around the freeze point has been breached, optionally even without providing a time and temperature history.
Time passage indicator
There is described an indicator device for indicating the passage of time, the indicator device comprising an indicator section and a barrier section adjacent thereto, said indicator section comprising: an indicator material; a substrate material; and a first adhesive layer; the indicator material and the substrate material being in the form of one or more layers; the indicator material displaying different visible properties in response to the presence or absence of a chemical agent and/or the concentration thereof; the barrier section comprising a removable barrier layer, the removable barrier layer being substantially impermeable to the chemical agent; wherein on removal of the removable barrier layer, the concentration of the chemical agent in the indicator section changes over time, effecting a visible change. The device may be used to detect the presence/absence of oxygen, water, carbon dioxide, an amine, ammonia, and/or carboxylic acids or to indicate the passage of time.
Film sensor
The present disclosure relates to a sensor for indicating food quality comprising a semi-permeable film layer, the semi-permeable film layer comprising at least one integrally formed well having at least one sensing element disposed therein; wherein the well is sealed by a second film layer, the semi-permeable film layer being impermeable to said sensing element but is permeable to at least one analyte detectable by said sensing element.
ENVIRONMENTAL HISTORY MONITOR WITH SECURITY FEATURES
Environmental monitors for monitoring a predetermined environmental exposure, for example, an historical heat exposure such as a cumulative ambient heat exposure and/or a peak ambient heat exposure may include an environmental indicator material and a security material. The environmental monitor may be configured to attach to a host product for monitoring the predetermined environmental exposure of the host product, and additionally serve as an anti-counterfeiting indicator.
TIME TEMPERATURE INDICATOR
The present invention is generally in the field of measuring and indicating techniques and relates to a time-temperature indicator and methods of manufacturing and use thereof. More specifically, the time-temperature indicator comprises a time temperature indicator comprising at least one metal layer or metal containing layer and in direct contact to the metal layer or to the metal containing layer at least one doped polymer layer, wherein the dopant is an acid, a base or a salt or a photolatent acid or a photolatent base which dopant is added to the polymer, and/or at least one polymer layer wherein a polymer is functionalized with acidic or latent acidic or basic or latent basic groups; or a time temperature indicator comprising at least one polymer layer containing metal particles and a photolatent acid or a photolatent base, or at least one polymer layer containing metal particles wherein the polymer is functionalized with latent acidic or latent basic groups.
CHEMICAL INDICATOR FOR MONITORING HYDROGEN PEROXIDE STERILIZATION AND DISINFECTION PROCESSES
This invention relates to a chemical indicator for monitoring a vaporous hydrogen peroxide sterilization process. The chemical indicator comprises a reactive composition adhered to a substrate, the reactive composition comprising a transition metal reagent, an oxidizing agent, and a resin. A test pack containing the chemical indicator and a biological indicator is disclosed. Vaporous hydrogen peroxide sterilization processes using the chemical indicator and the test pack are disclosed.
Tunable directional color transition compositions and methods of making and using the same
Color change compositions that transition from a first to second color state upon application of an applied stimulus are provided. Also provided are substrates having the compositions on a surface thereof, as well as methods of making and using the compositions.
PRINTABLE TIME-TEMPERATURE INDICATOR SYSTEM
The present invention relates to a time-temperature indicator (TTI) system suitable for monitoring the time and temperature to which storage sensitive products have been exposed. The TTI system is inexpensive to produce, the response to time and temperature is given in a visually and easily interpretable manner and the visual design is easily adaptable.
