Temperature detection label and article management device using same

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a temperature detection label capable of preventing falsification using a simple structure. To solve this problem, the present invention provides a temperature detection label that is characterized by comprising a supporting member and a temperature detection part provided on the supporting member and in that: the temperature detection part has a temperature detection material that, in a heating process, starts color development at temperature T.sub.1 and starts losing color as a result of melting at temperature T.sub.2 and, in a cooling process, solidifies while remaining colorless by being cooled to temperature T.sub.1 or lower; the temperature detection material includes a leuco dye, decolorizer, and developer; and the temperature detection label also comprises a member having an appearance that changes between T.sub.1 and T.sub.2, inclusive, or a high-melting-point material having a melting point or glass transition temperature higher than T.sub.2.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR INDICATING THE TIME ELAPSED SINCE THE OCCURRENCE OF A TRIGGERING EVENT
20210389731 · 2021-12-16 ·

Described are systems and methods which can be used to indicate the period of time elapsed since the occurrence of a triggering event. More particularly, this application relates to systems and methods which can be used to visually indicate the time period elapsed since an article has been removed from its packaging. The system can include an indicator disposed on or within the article and a trigger disposed within the receptacle and in contact with the indicator. The article may be enclosed within a sealable receptacle of the package. The indicator is responsive to a change in a concentration of the trigger in contact with the indicator. The removal of the article from the receptacle can induce a change in concentration of the trigger in contact with the indicator. The change in the concentration of the trigger can induce a change in color in the indicator. The color change indicates a predetermined period of time has elapsed since the article has been removed from the receptacle. The predetermined period of time is from 30 minutes to 30 days, such as from 1 hour to 30 days.

Indicator device

There is described an indicator device comprising: an indicator section comprising an indicator material that displays different visible properties in response to the presence or absence of an activating agent; an activator section comprising an activating agent that effects a change in the visible properties of the indicator material; and a barrier section comprising a barrier layer that is substantially impermeable to the activating agent, the barrier section being located between the indicator section and the activator section; wherein at least part of the barrier layer is configurable to allow the activating agent and the indicator material to come into contact with each other, thereby effecting a visible change. The device may be used to detect or report the passage of time and can be applied to perishable goods and/or associated packaging to show that packaging has been compromised and/or that the device has been compromised.

Method and system for cold chain quality control and security

A cold chain system with thermosensitive labels linked to an online traceability portal is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of human a machine readable code labels having irreversible thermosensitive inks placed on various products. The labels optionally having multiple codes paired with various predefined discrete images or strings detected using optical methods or text-based transmission and communication protocols. The system can enhance cold chain quality and security by allowing real time validation and traceability from factory to end users through an online platform compatible with mobile devices. The system can also enhance both manual and technological cold chain security methods for countries that have varying degrees of technological capability to ultimately improve vulnerable supply chains.

ACTIVATABLE TEMPERATURE INDICATOR WITH TIME DELAY

Disclosed herein are delayed reaction threshold temperature indicators and methods of making and activating the same, the delayed reaction threshold temperature indicators including a first substrate, first and second layers, and a housing secured to the substrate. The first layer includes a first reactant and an optional meltable polymer, and the second layer includes a meltable polymer and a second reactant. The meltable polymer is configured to keep the first and second reactants from interacting with each other. When exposed to temperatures at and/or above a desired threshold for a period of time, the meltable polymer melts and allows the first and second reactants to come into contact with each other, thereby producing a visual change in appearance.

QUALITY MANAGEMENT INDICATOR FOR FLOWERS AND ORNAMENTAL PLANTS, AND QUALITY MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR FLOWERS AND ORNAMENTAL PLANTS

An indicator capable of determining accumulated temperatures of about 500° C..Math.h and about 1000° C..Math.h are important indexes in quality management for cut flowers. The indicator includes a first packet containing first solution and a second packet containing second solution. The first and second solutions are brought into contact by pressing either packet, and a first color change from transparent color to pale blue color and a second color change from blue color to brown color are generated by Maillard reaction. The first solution includes sugar and solvent, and the second solution includes amino acid, pH adjuster, and solvent. An accumulated temperature is within 500° C..Math.h when the indicator shows a transparent color, and the accumulated temperature is within 1000° C..Math.h when the indicator shows a blue color. The accumulated temperatures can be readily checked by one look so that remaining vase life of the cut flowers can be determined.
