Method of processing specimen and specimen processing apparatus
Disclosed is a method of processing a specimen in which a target component in a specimen is processed using a specimen processing chip provided with a flow-path, the method including: introducing a fluid into a flow-path to form an interface that divides the fluid from a process liquid used for the processing of the target component with a rim of the interface on an inner wall of the flow-path, the process liquid containing particles including the target component; and moving the formed interface along the flow-path with the rim of the interface on the inner wall so as to force out the particles retained in the process liquid by the fluid.
Device and method for pressure-driven plug transport and reaction
The present invention provides microfabricated substrates and methods of conducting reactions within these substrates. The reactions occur in plugs transported in the flow of a carrier-fluid.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR SERIAL FLOW EMULSION PROCESSES
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for serial flow emulsion processes. Systems and methods as described herein result in reduced cross-contamination.
WATER QUALITY ANALYZER AND METHOD FOR ANALYZING WATER QUALITY
Disclosed are a water quality analyzer and a method for analyzing water quality. The water quality analyzer includes a first disc system, a second disc system, a colorimetric system, a cleaning system, a mechanical sampling system, an analysis system and a central control display. The first disc system and the second disc system are axially rotatable. A plurality of sample locating positions and a chemical locating positions are provided on the first disc system along a circumference of the first disc system. A plurality of colorimetric cuvette locating positions are provided on the second disc system, and the colorimetric system is arranged at a circumference edge of the second disc system. The cleaning system and the mechanical sampling system are provided between the first disc system and the second disc system. The method includes water sampling, water sample injection, cleaning, reagent extraction, reagent injection, cleaning and colorimetric analysis.

FLUIDIC DEVICES, SYSTEMS, AND METHODS FOR ENCAPSULATING AND PARTITIONING REAGENTS, AND APPLICATIONS OF SAME
The disclosure provides devices, systems and methods for the generation of encapsulated reagents and the partitioning of encapsulated reagents for use in subsequent analyses and/or processing, such as in the field of biological analyses and characterization.
Fluidic device, system, and mixing method
The present invention provides a fluidic device in which solutions of different concentrations can be easily obtained. The fluidic device includes: a first substrate and a second substrate which are stacked in a thickness direction; an undiluted solution introduction flow path which has an undiluted solution introduction port and which is constituted of a groove part provided on at least one of the first substrate and the second substrate; a first circulation flow path which is constituted of a groove part having an annular shape and having a shared part that shares part of a flow path with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and a non-shared part which is not shared with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and which is connected to a diluting solution introduction port; a second circulation flow path which is provided independently of the first circulation flow path and which is constituted of a groove part having an annular shape and having a shared part that shares some flow path with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and a non-shared part which is not shared with the undiluted solution introduction flow path and which is connected to a diluting solution introduction port; and/or a third circulation flow path which is constituted of a groove part having an annular shape and having a shared flow path that shares part of a flow path with the first circulation flow path and a non-shared flow path which is not shared with the first circulation flow path and which is connected to a diluting solution introduction port, wherein the undiluted solution introduction flow path includes a valve at both ends of the shared part.
DEVICE FOR GENERATING DROPLETS
A system, including method and apparatus, for generating droplets suitable for droplet-based assays. The disclosed systems may include either one-piece or multi-piece droplet generation components configured to form sample-containing droplets by merging aqueous, sample-containing fluid with a background emulsion fluid such as oil, to form an emulsion of sample-containing droplets suspended in the background fluid. In some cases, the disclosed systems may include channels or other suitable mechanisms configured to transport the sample-containing droplets to an outlet region, so that subsequent assay steps may be performed.
DISTRIBUTOR HEAD FOR A SUCTION PUMP
A distributor head for a suction pump which includes a housing (12), a pump port (16) configured to apply a negative pressure, and a plurality of hollow needles (18). The hollow needles are fixed to the housing (12), are connected in a liquid-tight manner to the pump port (16), and are arranged parallel to and at a distance from one another. Individual connecting paths (34) of the hollow needles (18) to the pump port (16) include respective, independently operable control valves (36).
