A phantom design method includes a correction step and a calculation step. In the correction step, an absorption spectrum of a target of spectroscopic measurement by a near infrared spectrometer is corrected based on a refractive index of the target and a refractive index of a resin used as a base material of a phantom to generate a corrected absorption spectrum. In the calculation step, based on an absorption spectrum of the resin and an absorption spectrum of each of N types of dyes, a concentration of each of the N types of dyes to be contained in the base material is calculated such that an absorption spectrum of the phantom constituted by the base material containing the N types of dyes approximates the corrected absorption spectrum in a predetermined wavelength range of a near infrared region.

Test Method and Test Device for Analysing a Body Fluid

There is provided a test method for analysing a body fluid in which a test tape is used in a test device to successively provide analytical test fields stored on the test tape, wherein body fluid is applied by a user to the test field provided at a time and the said test field is photometrically scanned using a measuring unit of the device to record measurement signals. To increase the measurement reliability, it is proposed that a control value is determined from a time-dependent and/or wavelength-dependent change in the measurement signals and that the measurement signals are processed as valid or discarded as erroneous depending on the control value.

MOBILE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS

A target sample to be chemically analyzed is received at a microfluidic device which is part of an analysis card. The microfluidic device includes at least one input layer configured to receive the target sample, at least one intermediary layer, and at least one readout layer configured to present one or more color attributes at one or more readout regions in response to one or more colorimetric reactions to the target sample. An image of the readout layer of the microfluidic device is obtained. A calibration file that corresponds to the analysis card is obtained. The calibration file includes a calibrated model of at least one color attribute based on data from at least one known chemical attribute of at least one standard sample processed by a calibration card. A data processing function is executed on the obtained image by comparing the one or more color attributes at the one or more readout regions to the calibrated model of the at least one color attribute to determine at least one chemical attribute of the target sample.

CALIBRATOR OF AN OPTICAL EMISSION SPECTROSCOPY

A calibrator of an OES may include a cover, a reference light source and a controller. The cover may be detachably combined with a ceiling of a plasma chamber of a plasma processing apparatus. The reference light source may be installed at the cover to irradiate a reference light to the OES through an inner space of the plasma chamber. The controller may compare a spectrum of the reference light inputted into the OES with a spectrum of an actual light inputted into the OES during a plasma process in the plasma chamber to calibrate the OES. Thus, the OES may be calibrated without disassembling of the OES from the plasma chamber to decrease a time for calibrating the OES.
