The present disclosure relates to aerosol delivery devices, methods of forming such devices, and elements of such devices. For example, some aerosol delivery devices of the current disclosure include a reservoir having a liquid aerosol precursor composition, an electrical heater in fluid communication with the reservoir and configured to vaporize the liquid aerosol precursor composition to form an aerosol, and a filter operatively arranged relative to the electrical heater such that at least a portion of the formed aerosol passes therethrough, the filter being configured to selectively bind one or more undesirable impurities.

An electronic cigarette includes a power supply device, a sensing unit, an atomizer, a liquid storage structure and a fluid transportation device. The atomizer includes an electric heater and a liquid conduit. The liquid conduit has an input port at one end and plural perforations at the other end, and the electric heater is disposed around the liquid conduit. The liquid storage structure includes a passageway and a liquid container. A cigarette liquid is stored in the liquid container. The fluid transportation device includes an input channel and an output channel. The input channel is in communication with the liquid container. The output channel is in communication with the liquid conduit of the atomizer. The cigarette liquid is transferred to the atomizer at a certain amount. Consequently, an atomized vapor is generated.

The fluid transportation device includes an input channel and an output channel. The input channel is in communication with the liquid container. The output channel is in communication with the liquid conduit of the atomizer. The cigarette liquid is transferred to the atomizer at a certain amount. Consequently, an atomized vapor is generated.

The second end of the mouth tip is configured to be inserted into the tubular wrapper through the top end of the tubular wrapper for creating a coaxial connection between the tubular wrapper and the mouth tip.

In one aspect, a smoking article includes a heat source configured to generate heat upon ignition thereof, a first substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition associated therewith and a first end being fixedly engaged with the heat source, and an aerosol delivery component having opposed first and second ends, the first end of the aerosol delivery component being engaged with the second end of the first substrate material. In some aspects, the aerosol delivery component includes a second substrate material having the aerosol precursor composition associated therewith and being disposed about the first end of the aerosol delivery component and a tobacco material disposed between the second substrate material and the mouthpiece, the aerosol precursor composition associated with the first and second substrate materials being configured to produce an aerosol in response to the heat generated by the ignited heat source.

Smoking articles are disclosed herein. In one aspect, a smoking article includes a heat source configured to generate heat upon ignition thereof, a first substrate material having an aerosol precursor composition associated therewith and a first end being fixedly engaged with the heat source, and an aerosol delivery component having opposed first and second ends, the first end of the aerosol delivery component being engaged with the second end of the first substrate material. In some aspects, the aerosol delivery component includes a second substrate material having the aerosol precursor composition associated therewith and being disposed about the first end of the aerosol delivery component and a tobacco material disposed between the second substrate material and the mouthpiece, the aerosol precursor composition associated with the first and second substrate materials being configured to produce an aerosol in response to the heat generated by the ignited heat source.

Aerosol generation method and apparatus

According to an exemplary embodiment, provided is an aerosol generation apparatus including: a liquid cartridge comprising a storage unit configured to store an aerosol-generating substrate which is liquid-type and an atomizer configured to generate aerosol by heating the aerosol-generating substrate; a mouth tip located at one end of the aerosol generation apparatus and comprising a filter unit configured to adsorb at least one material included in the generated aerosol; and an aerosol heating unit configured to heat the generated aerosol when the generated aerosol is inhaled by a user through the mouth tip.
