The secondary structural block is used in double-shear tests, mixed-mode tests, single-shear tests, tension pull-off tests, and beam-bend tests. The attachment mechanism, which holds the primary structural block, the secondary structural block, and the adjustable hanger together, is also used during single-shear tests and beam-bend tests.
Method and device for inspecting a joining surface
A method for inspecting a joining surface (14) of a substrate, wherein a component is to be adhered to the joining surface of the substrate by means of an adhesive material (27), wherein the method comprises the following steps: •—providing at least one planar test textile (20), which has a fiber material (21) and an adhesive primer (22), •—applying the planar test textile to at least one part of the joining surface of the substrate to which the component is to be adhered so that the adhesive primer of the planar test textile contacts the joining surface of the substrate, •—at least partially curing the adhesive primer of the planar test textile in order to integrally bond the planar test textile to the substrate by means of the adhesive primer, •—pulling off the planar test textile after at least partially curing the adhesive primer and inspecting the joining surface by means of a qualitative evaluation of the fracture pattern between the cured adhesive primer and the planar test textile and/or by means of a quantitative evaluation of the pull-off force determined when pulling off the planar test textile.
LOADING FRAME FOR FIBER-REINFORCED POLYMER AND CONCRETE BOND TESTING SYSTEMS
A loading frame for fiber reinforced polymer (FRP)-concrete bond tests includes a standing guide tower, a base section, and a loading beam. The standing guide tower is perpendicularly mounted to the base section. A testing load is applied to the loading beam when performing a series of FRP-concrete bond tests. A sliding end of the loading beam is positioned into a channel within the standing guide tower allowing the loading beam to be positioned at a preferred height. The engagement between the loading beam and the standing guide tower reduces secondary forces. The loading frame is mobile and may also be used with existing testing devices and systems used to perform the series of FRP-concrete bond tests.
WELDING DEFECT INSPECTION METHOD
The present technology relates to a method of inspecting a welding defect. The method includes: manufacturing an electrode assembly sample by welding an electrode lead on an electrode tab formed on an electrode assembly; measuring a tensile strength, a torsional strength and a peeling strength of a welded portion between the electrode tab and the electrode lead for the electrode assembly sample; deriving correlation between whether there is a welding defect and each of the tensile strength, the torsional strength, and the peeling strength; and deriving a reference value for determining whether there is a welding defect for the tensile strength, the torsional strength, and the peeling strength, respectively.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TESTING AN ADHESIVE USED FOR A FEMININE CARE PAD
A system for testing an adhesive used for an adhesive-backed hygiene article, such as a feminine care pad, a breast pad, or certain adult incontinence pads, comprises first and second substrates defining a gap for positioning a weight which, by using a force measurement system, is caused to move over the substrate and to detach the adhesive-backed hygiene article from the cloth material. A method utilizes the system and measures the force as the weight moves after the weight contacts the adhesive-backed hygiene article. The force measured is reflective of the entire system, both the force required to cause the adhesive between the article and the cloth material to fail and for the article to bunch on itself. Depending on the specific test, one or two weights may be used.
