System and Kit for X-Ray Backscatter Imaging with Removable Detector
A movable x-ray imager includes a first backscatter x-ray detector assembly. The system also includes a second backscatter x-ray detector assembly that is removably attachable with the movable x-ray imager. The movable x-ray imager and the second backscatter x-ray detector include complementary attachment features configured to secure, removably, the second backscatter x-ray detector with the movable x-ray imager in an arrangement having the second and first backscatter x-ray detectors fixedly oriented with respect to each other.
Data collection, processing and storage systems for X-ray tomographic images
An X-ray imaging inspection system for inspecting items comprises an X-ray source 10 extending around an imaging volume 16, and defining a plurality of source points 14 from which X-rays can be directed through the imaging volume. An X-ray detector array 12 also extends around the imaging volume 16 and is arranged to detect X-rays from the source points which have passed through the imaging volume, and to produce output signals dependent on the detected X-rays. A conveyor 20 is arranged to convey the items through the imaging volume 16.
Flat panel detector and manufacturing method thereof
Disclosed are a flat panel detector and a manufacturing method thereof. The flat panel detector including: a first optical assembly, having a first side and a second side opposite to the first side in a thickness direction of the flat panel detector, and including: a first scintillator layer configured for converting at least part of rays into a first visible light; and a first light guide component stacked with the first scintillator layer and configured for guiding the first visible light; a first image sensor assembly stacked with the first optical assembly, configured for receiving the first visible light, and including: a first image sensor located at the first side of the first optical assembly; and a second image sensor located at the second side of the first optical assembly.
Rotational X-ray inspection system and method
A system for inspecting an object includes a turntable on which the object may be placed. The turntable rotates the object about a first rotation axis. The system also includes an X-ray source to generate an X-ray beam in a plane to intersect with the object. The system also includes an X-ray detector that can detect at least a portion of the X-ray beam transmitted through the object during rotation and generate image data based on the detected X-ray beam. Also included is a controller that can: generate an image of the object based on the image data; determine, based on a suspect item identified in the image of the object, a second rotation axis at an angle from the first axis; cause a tilt of the turntable so that it is perpendicular to the second axis; and initiate a subsequent rotation of the object about the second axis.
Methods and systems for generating three-dimensional images that enable improved visualization and interaction with objects in the three-dimensional images
In some embodiments, the present specification describes methods for displaying a three-dimensional image of an isolated threat object or region of interest with a single touch or click and providing spatial and contextual information relative to the object, while also executing a view dependent virtual cut-away or rendering occluding portions of the reconstructed image data as transparent. In some embodiments, the method includes allowing operators to associate audio comments with a scan image of an object. In some embodiments, the method also includes highlighting a plurality of voxels, which are indicative of at least one potential threat item, in a mask having a plurality of variable color intensities, where the intensities may be varied based on the potential threat items.
CONTROLLING X-RAY MACHINE FOR FOREIGN MATERIAL DETECTION IN A GOOD
Disclosed herein are systems and methods for detecting foreign material in a good. A system controls an X-ray machine to capture an image of a good. The system analyzes the image captured by the X-ray machine by applying one or more of a foreign material detection algorithm and a foreign material model to the image. The system determines whether the good includes a foreign material comprising a challenge card by detecting at least one marking component on the foreign material when analyzing the image, wherein the challenge card includes the at least one marking component and a challenge material.

Inspection system for quality analysis of a product to be inspected
The invention relates to an inspection system for quality analysis of a food product, comprising a conveyor for moving it to an inspection area, a lighting device consisting of LEDs that emit a light sequence directed towards the inspection area to light up the product by transmission, a linear camera with at least one line of pixels for collecting a plurality of images in each light sequence of the lighting device, and a focusing member for focusing the beam emitted by the lighting device. Advantageously, the lighting device is activated in a pulsed manner, generating a light sequence with at least two different illuminations, at least one of which is a transmission-pulsed illumination. The lighting device is aligned on the axis formed by the product to be inspected and the linear camera.
System and method for autonomously removing fasteners embedded in wood products
A method includes: receiving a recycled wood workpiece populated with a set of metal fasteners; accessing an internal imaging scan; detecting the set of metal fasteners embedded in the recycled wood workpiece based on internal features detected in the internal imaging scan; for each metal fastener in the set of metal fasteners, extracting an initial position and an initial orientation of the metal fastener from the internal imaging scan; generating a virtual model of the recycled wood workpiece based on the internal imaging scan; accessing an image captured by an optical sensor; detecting a first metal fastener in the recycled wood workpiece; deriving a first position and a first orientation of the first metal fastener; and, in response to identifying the first metal fastener analogous to an initial metal fastener in the virtual model, isolating the first metal fastener in the virtual model and generating a fastener removal schedule.
