A geologic core inspection table includes at least two legs, each including an extending portion for increasing the effective length of each leg, the extending portion at least partially concentrically disposed within or about the leg from which it extends; and a tabletop disposed above and coupled to the legs. The tabletop includes a top surface for receiving a core sample tray. At least one leg may be extended to a different height than at least one other leg.

Aspects of dynamic workstation apparatus, methods, and systems are disclosed. One aspect disclosed herein is a workstation apparatus that includes a frame including overhead frame elements defining a covered workspace. The apparatus also includes a raiseable and lowerable work surface that may be configured to be movably attached to the overhead frame elements and may be selectively positionable in the covered workspace at a plurality of different vertical heights including a standing height and a floor height. A first actuator may be attached to and operable with the frame to move the raiseable and lowerable work surface between a range of movement including the standing height and the floor height while maintaining an orientation of the raiseable and lowerable work surface relative to the frame such that the raiseable and lowerable work surface may remain relatively level. Aspects of related methods and systems also are disclosed herein.
WORKSTATION HEIGHT-ADJUSTMENT MONITORING
A workstation including a height-adjustable work surface is described. The workstation includes a frame, and the work surface is configured to translate relative to the frame to vary a height of the work surface. A lift assembly configured to assist translation of the work surface relative to the frame. The lift assembly includes a moveable component and translation of the moveable component results in a translation of the work surface relative to the frame. A translation sensor is coupled to one of the frame or the movable component, and it is configured to measure translation of the moveable component relative to the frame. A control circuit is in communication with the translation sensor to determine an amount of translation of the work surface relative to the frame.

The disclosure relates to the technical field of lifting mechanisms, and in particular to a voice control system and a method for moving columns, comprising a lifting mechanism, a controller, a storage module, and a voice collection module. The lifting mechanism, the storage module and the voice collection module are all electrically connected to the controller. A control word and at least two wake-up words are stored in the storage module. The system further includes a selection module for selecting the wake-up word and a display module for displaying the current wake-up word. Both the selection module and the display module are electrically connected to the controller. The likelihood of unwanted triggering can be decreased by the voice control system and method.

A height-adjustable table with concealed wiring design is provided herein, which includes table surface, table leg, table foot, driving mechanism, and control device. The table leg is connected between the table surface and the table foot and includes a telescoping tube structure. The driving mechanism includes motor, first threaded rod, and connecting tube. The first threaded rod screwed to one end of the connecting tube and the connecting tube are disposed in the telescoping tube structure. The motor is configured to drive the first threaded rod to alter the length of the telescoping tube structure. The control device includes wiring and a control interface. The wiring is disposed in the telescoping tube structure and spirals around the connecting tube. The wiring transmits power to the driving mechanism and transmits a control signal from control interface to the motor to drive the driving mechanism.

Such a column can be used in a piece of furniture as an extendable column.
