NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING METHOD FOR ELASTIC MODULUS OF FINE CERAMIC, APPARATUS, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A non-destructive testing method for an elastic modulus of fine ceramic, an apparatus, and a storage medium, including controlling intact fine ceramic to enter a first testing position, fixing the test sample, controlling an ultrasonic testing instrument to be adjusted to a position of the sample, performing ultrasonic testing e, and collecting testing data; adjusting the sample to a second testing position, performing resilience testing on the sample, and collecting resilience data; building a data model according to the testing data, or substituting the testing data into the pre-built data model to obtain elastic modulus characterization data of the test sample. The test sample does not need to be cut into small-size test samples and is not destroyed, and the intact fine ceramic is subjected to non-destructive testing. The accuracy of tested data is improved, damage to the test sample is also avoided, and reuse of the sample is realized.

To provide a method for evaluating a corroded part, the method making it possible to specify only a waveform reflected by a corroded part and to evaluate the waveform. When a transmission unit (2) is moved on the surface of a metal pipe (60) and the distance between a corroded part (5) and the transmission unit (2) is changed, only a waveform portion A of ultrasonic waves reflected by the corroded part (5) moves toward the left or right along an X axis, and only the intensity of a noise waveform portion B included in a received wave changes upward or downward along a Y axis, which makes it possible to separate the waveform portion A and the noise waveform portion B of a longitudinal-wave surface wave reflected by the corroded part (5) and evaluate the waveform portion A in detail.

Evaluating and exchanging batteries

A battery is subjected to ultrasound waves, and resulting re-emitted ultrasound waves are recorded. Based upon how the waves are distorted or reflected, a state of pores within the battery can be evaluated. This evaluation can be used to verify a rating of the battery included in received data regarding the battery.

DEVICE AND METHOD FOR BUBBLE SIZE CLASSIFICATION IN LIQUIDS

The present invention is related to a device and a method using said device for the measurement and classification of bubble sizes in a liquid medium. This invention comprises two electric emitter and receiver transducers located at an angle lower than 180 degrees one with respect to the other, and ultrasonic signal emitter and receiver circuits operatively connected to the electric emitter and receiver transducer respectively. The classification of the bubble sizes is based on two-dimensional time domain patterns that represent the trace of the bubbles when they cross a generated ultrasonic field. This invention is of great utility to track processes involving the generation of bubbles in liquid media such as the froth flotation in mining.

An armor plate system includes an integrated damage detector which may permit field testing of an armor plate. The system includes a ceramic plate and a piezoelectric transducer attached to lateral face of the ceramic plate. The piezoelectric transducer may apply a signal to the ceramic plate and receive a reflected signal. The applied signal may form a compression wave. An ultrasonic signal may be applied.

Device and method for ultrasonic detecting of rotating member based on magnetic fluid coupling

A device and a method for ultrasonic detecting a rotating member based on magnetic fluid coupling, wherein the device comprises an ultrasonic probe, magnetic field protection rings, magnetic fluid and a magnetic fluid protection cover. The ultrasonic probe is arranged above the rotating member that is horizontally placed. Front ends of a transmitting ultrasonic transducer and a receiving ultrasonic transducer of the ultrasonic probe are provided with the magnetic field protection rings for generating magnetic fields in the magnetic field protection rings. The protective cover is sleeved on a circumferential outer side of the rotating member where a detected position is located, and the front ends of the ultrasonic probe are arranged to penetrate through the magnetic fluid protective cover. A cavity formed between the magnetic fluid protective cover and the rotating member is filled with the magnetic fluid and the magnetic fluid is a liquid mixture solution.

AUTOMATIC TRANSDUCER OPERATING PARAMETER SELECTION

Operating parameters are selected for inspecting a structure. Selecting the operating parameters includes exciting broadband ultrasonic guided waves in a multilayered structure, acquiring data corresponding to the sensed broadband ultrasonic guided waves in the multilayered structure, selecting one or more narrow frequency bands based on the acquired data, and inspecting the multilayered structure using ultrasonic guided waves in the one or more narrow frequency bands. In some examples, the data is acquired by an inspection tool capable of sensing the broadband ultrasonic guided waves in the multilayered structure.

Within the scope of the invention, a device for monitoring the quality of a fuel stored in a fuel tank has been developed. The main field of application is diesel-operated vehicles. The fuel is therefore preferably diesel fuel. The device is defined by the fact that means for determining the boiling point of the fuel are provided. Furthermore, a method for monitoring the quality of a fuel stored in a fuel tank has also been developed within the scope of the invention. The main field of application is diesel-operated vehicles. The fuel is therefore preferably diesel fuel. The method is defined by the fact that the boiling point of the fuel or a deviation of this boiling point from a normal value is measured. During the analysis of real injection pumps which have failed it has been detected that an excessively low boiling point of the fuel can cause the fuel to outgas. As a result, bubbles in which the necessary lubrication is no longer provided locally form in the injection pump. Furthermore, the lubricating effect is dependent on the fuel having a certain minimum viscosity. A low boiling point is also correlated with a low viscosity. Therefore, overall, the boiling point (initial boiling point, IBP) is a particularly good indicator especially of those deviations from standard values for the fuel which entail particularly costly damage.
