HAEMOPHILUS INFLUENZAE IMMUNOGEN
The present invention provides immunogens which can be used for vaccines against non-typeable Haemophilus influenzae (NTHi). The protein targeted is NTHi PDE1 and is highly conserved making it a vital component necessary for bacterial pathogenesis. The protein preferably includes the C terminal fragment after cleavage between Asn269 and Gly270, when compared to the wild-type PDE1 amino acid sequence. Nucleic acid sequences, amino acid sequences, immunogenic compositions, treatments and methods of diagnosis are disclosed.
DEVICES AND METHODS FOR DIAGNOSIS OF SINUSITIS
Apparatuses for sampling mucous from within a sinus to determine if a single sample includes one or more bacterial types indicating bacterial sinusitis comprising an indicator to guide the angle at which a user inserts the apparatus relative to the patient.
DEVICES AND ASSAYS FOR DIAGNOSIS OF SINUSITIS
Methods and kits for sampling mucous from within a sinus to determine if a single sample includes one or more bacterial types indicating bacterial sinusitis.
Binding moieties for biofilm remediation
Binding agents able to disrupt bacterial biofilms of diverse origin are described, including monoclonal antibodies secreted by human B lymphocytes. Methods to prevent formation of or to dissolve biofilms with these binding agents are also described. Immunogens for eliciting antibodies to disrupt biofilms are also described.
Methods and compositions for assessing antibody specificities
The present invention provides compositions and methods that can be used to determine a peptide signature for an antibody repertoire in a sample comprising multiple antibodies. The method can be used to characterize a phenotype in a sample, such as providing a diagnosis, prognosis or theranosis of a medical condition.
METHOD FOR DETECTING MICROORGANISMS AND USES THEREOF
The invention relates to methods of screening biological samples from a subject for the presence of one or more microorganisms, such as the presence in the subject of one or more pathogenic or potentially pathogenic microorganisms, and diagnostic kits and devices suitable for carrying out said methods. More particularly, the present invention relates to sensitive and specific methods for determining the presence of gram-negative bacteria or analytes therefrom in a sample from a subject using immunoassays, and devices and kits for carrying out such methods.
DEVICES AND ASSAYS FOR DIAGNOSIS OF SINUSITIS
Methods and kits for sampling mucous from within a sinus to determine if a single sample includes one or more bacterial types indicating bacterial sinusitis.
PROTEOMICS BASED DIAGNOSTIC DETECTION METHOD FOR CHRONIC SINUSITIS
The invention provides for a proteomic approach for identification of specific bacterial protein profiles that may be used in the development of methods for the diagnosis of bacterial chronic sinusitis. The invention provides for methods for determining the presence of pathogenic bacteria in the upper respiratory tract of a subject using protein profiles of the pathogenic bacteria. The invention also provides for methods of diagnosing a bacterial infection of the upper respiratory tract of a subject using protein profiles of a pathogenic bacteria. In addition, the invention provides for devices, immunoassays and kits for identifying pathogenic bacteria in the upper respiratory tract.
Proteins and immunizing compositions containing Pasteurella proteins and methods of use
The present invention provides isolated proteins isolatable from a Pasteurella spp. such as P. multocida. Also provided by the present invention are compositions that include one or more of the proteins, and methods for making and methods for using the proteins.
