METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR SINGLE CHAIN VARIABLE REGION ENOX2 ANTIBODIES FOR CANCER DETECTION AND DIAGNOSIS

Cancers of different cellular or tissue origins express different ENOX2 cancer isoforms or combinations of isoforms and shed these proteins into the circulation. Herein are disclosed methods both for cancer detection and diagnosis of particular origin, based on the patterns and molecular weights of the isoforms which allow the identification of the cell type and or tissue of origin of the neoplasm. Relative ENOX2 amounts are proportional to tumor burden and provide a reliable measure of response to therapy and disease progression. Also provided is the amino acid sequence to which the scFv antibodies bind as the molecular basis for the specificity of the test.

A method of analyzing a blood sample from an animal is disclosed. The method includes: (a) extracting a blood sample from a blood collection device, wherein the blood collection device comprises: (i) a microneedle array and (ii) a blood storage layer, and wherein the microneedle array transports the blood sample from the animal to the blood storage layer, and wherein the microneedle array comprises one or more microneedles; (b) conducting at least one test on the extracted blood sample; and (c) reporting results from the at least one test to a customer.

Methods and kits for decreasing interferences from leukocytes in specific binding assays
10641768 · 2020-05-05 · ·

The present disclosure describes methods and kits for reducing interferences in immunoassays performed on solid phase and on samples containing serum or plasma, by adding an effective amount of a polycationic derivative of dextran to the assay.

Lysyl Oxidase-Like 2 Assay

The present invention relates to an antibody, wherein the antibody specifically binds to the N-terminus of Lysyl Oxidase-Like 2 (LOXL2), and its use in a method of immunoassay for detecting or quantitating LOXL2 in a sample. The method may be used to evaluate LOXL2-associated diseases, and may also be used to evaluate the efficacy of anti-LOXL2 therapeutics.

The invention relates to a combination of biomarkers and their use in brain injury or mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) detection.

METHOD FOR DETECTING WHETHER GLUCOSE METABOLISM IS ABNORMAL, AND PREVENTION AND TREATMENT THEREFOR

A method for detecting whether glucose metabolism is abnormal comprises: detecting GPx2 gene expression, GPx2 protein expression or the activity of GPx2 protein in a test body, and making comparisons with GPx2 expression amount of a normal individual, when the GPx2 expression of the individual is significantly lower than that of the normal individual, indicating that the carbohydrate metabolism of the individual is in an abnormal state. Applications of GPx2 in the preparation of a medical composition for the treatment and prevention of type II diabetes.

DETECTING MICROBIAL INFECTION IN WOUNDS

The disclosed technology relates to chemical entities for the detection of wounds, e.g., chronic wounds or infected wounds, including compositions, substrates, kits, dressing materials, and articles, and systems containing such compounds. The disclosed technology further relates to methods of using these compositions, kits and systems in diagnostic assays, and in the diagnosis and/or detection of chronic or infected wounds based on enzymatic action on specific moieties and/or reaction sites. The disclosed technology additionally relates to detection of pathogenic, e.g., bacterial and/or viral substances, such as enzymes and substrates, at the wound situs. Additional disclosure relates to methods of characterizing wounds based on expression of a plurality of markers and using such information to treat, manage, and follow-up patients suffering from chronic or infected wounds.
