CHAIR
A folding chair includes front and rear supports that fold and/or retract into central beams to reduce the space occupied by the chair in a folded configuration. A backrest is coupled to the central beams with a hub that allows an angle of the backrest relative to the central beams to be selected and for the backrest to be folded flat relative to the central beams. One or more actuators and pin actuators may control the relative movements of the backrest, front support, rear support, and central beams.
RECLINING CHAIR
A reclining chair having a seat, backrest and armrest is provided. The armrest has a first portion associated with the seat and a second portion associated with the backrest. The first and second armrest portions are slidable relative to each other between a first position associated with a raised backrest and a second position associated with a reclined configuration. The armrest also has a locking mechanism of the sliding between the first and second armrest portions, and the locking mechanism has first and second locking seats and a locking element configured to couple alternatively to the first-or to the second locking seat. A coupling of the locking element to the first locking seat is associated with the first position and a coupling of the locking element to the second locking seat is associated with the second position.
SEATING OR RECLINING FURNITURE
A seating or reclining furniture is disclosed. The seating or reclining furniture includes at least one ventilatable surface region and a radial blower. The at least one ventilatable surface region includes a shaping foam layer, an air-distributing knitted spacer fabric, an air-conveying knitted spacer fabric, and an air-permeable cover layer. The radial blower is connected in an air-transferring manner to the air-distributing knitted spacer fabric. The radial blower is arranged on an edge side of the air-distributing knitted spacer fabric such that at least one of a blowing of air into the air-distributing knitted spacer fabric and an extraction of air from the air-distributing knitted spacer fabric is providable via the radial blower essentially parallel to a surface plane of the air-distributing knitted spacer fabric.
CONTROL PANEL FOR FURNITURE AND HOME ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM
Furniture entertainment hubs are disclosed that are integrated in a piece of furniture to conveniently control the piece of furniture, while at the same time providing a convenient means of communicating with and charging a remote smart device such as a smart phone or tablet. The entertainment hubs can be in many different locations in the piece of furniture, with some embodiments embedded in an armrest with the hub having a touch screen accessible at the top surface of the armrest. The entertainment hub provides a sleek, aesthetic and easy to mechanism for controlling the chair/sofa and interfacing with remote devices. One embodiment of an entertainment hub for a seating apparatus comprising a body with a plurality of planar surfaces, wherein one of said plurality of surfaces comprises a substantially flat control panel. The control panel comprises a plurality of visual touch buttons, a remote device wireless charging pad, and a speaker. Wherein said body is arranged to be mounted in a piece of piece of furniture with most of the body embedded in said piece of furniture with said control panel being visible and accessible. The body can also have movable surfaces or features to form cup holders to hold beverages.
RECLINING SEATING UNIT WITH RECIPROCATING CAPABILITY
A reciprocating seating unit includes: a base; a frame including a generally horizontal seat and opposed arms; a backrest; a reciprocating unit attached to the base, the reciprocating unit configured to permit reciprocating longitudinal movement of the frame and backrest relative to the base; and a reclining mechanism attached to the reciprocating unit, the frame and the backrest. The reclining mechanism includes pivotally interconnected links and is configured to move the backrest between an upright position, wherein the backrest takes a first backrest angle relative to the underlying surface and the frame is positioned relative to the base in a first location, and a reclining position, wherein the backrest takes a second backrest angle that is shallower than the first backrest angle, and the frame is positioned relative to the base in a second location that is at least 3 inches in front of the first location.
Linear actuator for motion simulator
A linear actuator is configured to be connected between a platform and a structure or ground for displacement of the platform relative to the structure or the ground. The actuator comprises a base, and an output displaceable linearly relative to the base. A first plurality of idlers are on the base, and a second plurality of idlers are on the output. An actuator unit has a reciprocating rotational output. A tensioning member has a first end connected to the rotational output of the actuator unit, and a second end connected to an anchor point on one of the output and the base, the tensioning member being routed from the rotational output, through the first plurality of idlers and the second plurality of idlers and to the anchor point for converting a winding/unwinding of the tensioning member into a translation of the output.
Rocker reclining mechanism for a rocker recliner rocking between the arms
A rocker recliner is disclosed that has a pair of stationary arms; a seat disposed between the arms; an ottoman; a back coupled to the seat. A full-recline linkage mechanism couples the ottoman, the seat and the back and is operable to move the ottoman, the seat and the back between a closed position, a TV position and a fully reclined position. A rocker assembly is coupled between the full-recline linkage mechanism and the stationary arms that allows the seat, back and ottoman to rock between the stationary arms in any of the closed position, the TV position or the fully reclined position.
LIFTING COLUMN
The present invention relates to a lifting column comprising at least two telescopically arranged members and a drive unit located in the hollow hereof. The drive unit comprises an electric motor, a transmission and a spindle unit with a number of spindles and at least one spindle nut. The electric motor drives the spindle unit via the transmission. The drive unit is connected to the at least two telescopically arranged members enabling a longitudinal displacement of the telescopic members, such that they are extended out of or retracted into each other depending on the direction of rotation of the electric motor. The lifting column comprises at least one supporting element attached to a spindle, where the supporting element is configured to abut the inner side of a surrounding member. Thus, a strong construction is achieved as the supporting element prevents the spindle unit from deflecting, as a horizontal force resulting from a high axial load or torque will be transferred to the members via the supporting element.
TILTING/LIFTING CHAIR
According to an aspect of some embodiments of the present disclosure there is provided a chair including a base component, a seat component connected to the base component by a central hinge, and a back-rest component connected to the seat component by a back hinge, wherein when the chair is in a sitting position, the seat component is lower than the central hinge. Related apparatus and methods are also described.
