Split ottoman linkage accomodating a chaise pad
A split ottoman linkage having a plurality of interconnected links that move a middle ottoman and a front ottoman from a closed position to an extended position. The middle ottoman moves in a relatively constant radial arc, such that a chaise pad can be used on the chair. The middle ottoman and the front ottoman are positioned adjacent one another in the closed position, and are spaced from one another in the extended position.
Rotating and non-rotating reclining chairs w/tilting mechanisms
A reclining and declining chair, preferably one that rotates with respect to its base, having a chair seat frame or plate and having a vertical or generally vertical member that extends beneath to support is reclined and declined by tilting at least an upper portion of the vertical or generally vertical support. Optionally the chair can also have a reclining backrest and a leg/foot rest that can be raised and lowered. The tilting, reclining, declining and raising and lowering motions are accomplished by drive mechanisms that can be manually powered, electrically powered, fluid driven, etc. with operator controls allowing increased range and ease of reclining, declining plus other desirable advantages with these types of chairs.

Chair with adjustable backrest and seat
An adjustable chair comprises chair support, backrest, a backrest support mechanism including at least one backrest arm pivotally connected to the support, and a seat having front and rear regions and a seat surface. The chair includes first and second seat support mechanisms with the first mechanism adjustably connecting the front region of the seat and the second mechanism adjustably connecting the rear region. The second seat support mechanism includes at least one seat arm having front and rear arm extensions and connected to the support for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. The rear arm extension is pivotally connected to the rear region of the seat. A toggle arrangement is pivotally mounted on the chair support and engages the front end section of the at least one seat arm and front end section of the at least one backrest arm.
CHAIR ARM ASSEMBLY
A chair assembly includes a base assembly, a seat assembly having a pair of side edges and a fore-to-aft extending longitudinal centerline, a back assembly movable between upright and reclined positions, and an arm assembly including an arm base extending from a first location between the side edges to a second location laterally outward of one of the side edges, wherein the arm base extends at an acute angle with respect to the longitudinal centerline and at an upward angle from the first location toward the second location, a support assembly supported by and extending upwardly from the arm base, and an armrest supported by the support assembly that is adjustable to support the armrest between a plurality of selected vertical positions, wherein the arm assembly and back assembly move at a different rate from one another as the back assembly is moved between the upright and reclined positions.
Chair assembly with upholstery covering
A chair back assembly includes a back shell member including laterally extending top, bottom and side portions cooperating to define an open space therebetween, where a portion of the back shell member is located in a lumbar region, a cover having a first surface and a second surface opposite the first surface, wherein the cover covers at least a portion of the open space, and a back frame assembly operably supporting the back shell member and movable between upright and reclined positions, wherein the back frame assembly causes the back shell to flex in a fore-to-aft direction as the back frame assembly is moved between the upright and reclined positions independent of an external force being exerted on the back shell member, and where the lumbar portion of the back shell member remains spaced from the back frame as the back frame is moved between the upright and reclined positions.

SEAT RECLINING POSITION CONTROL DEVICE
A seat reclining position control device includes: a seat on which an occupant of a vehicle sits; an adjustment part configured to adjust an angle of a backrest of the seat; a sleep state detection unit configured to detect a sleep state of the occupant; a control unit that operates the adjustment unit to control the angle; and a vehicle interior detection unit configured to detect a vehicle interior state of the vehicle. The control unit implements a seat angle control to adjust the angle of the backrest for the occupant in the sleep state based on the vehicle interior state to a suitable sleeping angle suitable for sleeping when the sleep state detection unit detects the sleep state of the occupant.
Underframe with improved structure
Disclosed is an underframe with an improved structure. The underframe includes an underframe body, an operating handle, a reclining pull rope and a gas spring pull rope, a cushion back-and-forth moving mechanism being installed on the outer side of the underframe body, the operating handle being installed through a left outer wall of the underframe body at a lower end of the cushion back-and-forth moving mechanism, a backrest installed on a rear end of the underframe body through a backrest connecting rod; and a reclining elastic adjusting mechanism is arranged at a front end of an inner wall of the underframe body, a backrest angle adjusting mechanism is arranged at the inner wall of the underframe body on a right side of the reclining elastic adjusting mechanism, a cushion height adjusting mechanism is fixedly connected in the underframe body.
Seat
A seat includes a pivotally movable bottom, a pivotally movable backrest independent from the bottom, a first supporter suspending and supporting a front side of the bottom, and a second supporter suspending a rear side of the bottom from a side behind the backrest section, and pivotally movably supporting the bottom together with the first supporter. According to the seat, the front side and the rear side of the bottom are suspended and supported. Thus, compared to a seat in which a front side of a bottom is supported in a cantilever manner, the seat is capable of ensuring bearing capacity for a seating load. The rear side of the bottom is suspended and supported from a side behind the backrest section. Accordingly, a support structure around the bottom including the front side of the bottom can be downsized.
