SMART SURFACE
A device includes a channel, a slit, and a cap. The channel is formed on a surface of the device. The slit separates the channel to a first portion and a second portion. The first portion comprises liquid metal, e.g., gallatin. The second portion comprises gas. The liquid metal moves within the channel between the first and the second portions in response to external stimuli, e.g., pressure. The liquid metal moving within the channel changes electrical characteristics, e.g., capacitive value, inductance value, resistance value, resonance frequency, etc., of the device.
Measuring device
The disclosure relates to a measuring device for measuring a physical variable. The measuring device has a converter, which is designed to convert an input variable present at a measurement input, into a measurement signal and to provide the same as an output variable. The measuring device comprises a processing unit, which is configured to process the output variable of the converter, and a signal generator, which is designed to generate a test signal on the basis of a specification which test signal corresponds to an output variable of the converter to an input variable of the converter corresponding to the specification. The processing unit can be connected via a switching element either to an output of the converter or to an output of the signal generator. The disclosure further relates to a method for testing a measuring device.
Sensor arrangement
A sensor arrangement includes at least one sensor which is connected to a first control unit and a second control unit. The at least one sensor has two sensor connections, and each of the sensor connections of the at least one sensor is electrically connected to an assigned node. Each node is respectively connected downstream of a control unit input of the first control unit and respectively connected upstream of a control unit input of the second control unit.
Interconnect system with high current and low leakage capability
A test and measurement instrument switch matrix including a first cable including a center conductor and a guard connected to a first output of the test and measurement instrument; a second cable including a center conductor and a guard connected to a second output of the test and measurement instrument; a third cable including a center conductor and a guard connected to the device under test; and a fourth cable including a center conductor connected to the device under test and a guard connected to the device under test.
Test switch signal analyzer
A test switch signal analyzer comprising: an analyzer hub operably couplable to a test switch base that includes test switch conductors; signal probe(s) couplable to the analyzer hub and to the plurality of test switch conductors when the analyzer hub is coupled to the test switch base, a signal processing unit coupled to the analyzer hub; the signal processing unit, the analyzer hub, and at least a portion of the at least one signal probe being positionable within a test switch cover that mates with the test switch base when the signal probe is coupled to the test switch conductor(s) and the test switch cover is secured to the test switch base.
System to reduce start-up times in line-mounted fault detectors
The present disclosure pertains to systems and methods for reducing startup times of line-mounted fault detectors. A line-mounted fault detector may comprise a power harvesting subsystem and an energy storage subsystem configured to store electrical energy. A fast-start power coupling subsystem may receive power from the energy storage subsystem in a startup state and provide power to a subset of components. A DC-DC converter subsystem may start up after a voltage of the energy storage subsystem exceeds a threshold. A control subsystem may transition the line-mounted fault detector to an operating state once the DC-DC converter has started and may de-energize the fast-start power coupling subsystem. The control system may enable a flow of electrical energy from the DC-DC converter to the fast-start subsystem. A fault detection subsystem in electrical communication with the DC-DC converter subsystem may communicate an indication of a fault via an RF transmitter subsystem.

Signal switching device and test system
A signal switching device and a test system are disclosed. A printed wire which is connected with a test circuit can be selected flexibly according to actual situation, and a sufficient distance between adjacent tested printed wires/test printed wires which are used for transmitting a differential signal can be maintained, such that signal interference between the printed wires would not be easily generated. Signals can be effectively separated from each other, and thus the technical problem that signal interference would easily be generated between adjacent tested printed wires/test printed wires which are used for transmitting a differential signal can be solved.
Diagnostic system for a DC-DC voltage converter
A diagnostic system for a DC-DC voltage converter is provided. An analog to digital converter measures a first low voltage level at a low voltage terminal of a DC-DC voltage converter and generates a first low voltage value based on the first low voltage level. A first buck mode monitoring application sets a first buck mode status flag equal to a first fault value when the first low voltage value is greater than a first maximum voltage value. A first buck mode diagnostic handler application transitions each of the high voltage switch and the low voltage switch to an open operational state when the first buck mode status flag is equal to the first fault value.
