A luxurious motorized outdoor pool chaise lounge and luxurious motorized outdoor pool seat recliner are provided. The lounge chair and the recliner are fully motorized and include many other luxurious features. The lounge and recliner may be reserved in advance and rented on a time-of-use basis.

A furniture system can include a base and a top. The base has a first surface defining a first slot and a second surface defining a second slot. The top has an end that is sized and configured to be inserted in the first slot and in the second slot. The furniture system forms a chair of a first configuration with the top forming a chair back and the first surface forming a first chair seat when the end of the top is inserted in the first slot. The furniture system forms a chair of a second configuration with the top forming the chair back and the second surface forming a second chair seat when the end of the top is inserted in the second slot. The furniture system can also be configured as various types of tables and the like.

An adjustable height chair has a pair of side frames and a seat frame with two seat/backrest portions secured together, with the seat frame pivotably mounted in the side frames. The chair height is changed by rotating the side frames in a direction opposite to the rotation of the seat frame, so that a seat panel which previously served as a platform to sit on becomes a backrest, and vice-versa. The chair preferably has one or more crossbars to serve the double duty of strengthening the frame of the chair, and supporting the seat panels in both sitting positions of the chair.

A seat positioning system includes a base frame having a pair of forward slots and a pair of rear slots, and a seat frame having a front end and a back end. The seat frame is coupled to the base frame and movable relative to the base frame. A first pair of linkages is slideably coupled to the pair of forward slots and connects the frames. A first pair of locking devices has a locked configuration adapted to prevent the first pair of linkages from sliding relative to the pair of forward slots and an unlocked configuration adapted to allow the first pair of linkages to slide relative to the pair of forward slots. A second pair of linkages slideably is coupled to the pair of rear slots and connects the frames. An actuator is pivotally connected to both the seat frame and the base frame and is configured to extend and contract to move the seat frame relative to the base frame.

The reclining assembly can be configured to seamlessly integrate and couple to a modular furniture assembly, having a footprint that substantially fits within the geometric specifications of the footprint of the modular furniture assembly. The reclining assembly can have a general appearance that is substantially similar to the modular furniture assembly when the reclining assembly is in the un-reclined position. The reclining assembly can include a reclining mechanism that permits transitioning the reclining assembly between a shallow and deep seat configuration. The reclining assembly can include a rotatable footrest panel. The reclining mechanism can include rotating gears that ride on gear rails, to effect the reclining movement and/or extension of the footrest panel.
