Dental chair
A dental chair includes a reduced weight and footprint chair module and a reduced weight and footprint lift/base module, the reduced weight and footprint lift/base module configured to releaseably attach to and integrate with the reduced weight and footprint chair module.
CARE CHAIR
Various aspects of the present disclosure are directed to adjustable chairs with a plurality of adjustment points to facilitate enhanced user mobility and increase a user's physical activity through guided exercises and stretches. In one example embodiment, a chair is disclosed including a lifting mechanism to assist a user from a seating to a standing position and facilitates standing stretches through a number of motion and rotation mechanisms.
COMPACT ADJUSTABLE RECLINING MECHANISM FOR A THEATER SEATING UNIT WITH PLANAR BACK DROP
A compact recliner mechanism for use in theater seating units is provided that allows the seat to move linearly as the seating unit moves from the closed position to the reclined position. The mechanism has a back bracket coupled to the seat plate and base plate with a linkage that moves a projected point representing the top of the back of the seating unit downwardly in vertical plane as the seating unit moves from the closed position to the reclined position. In other aspects, the seating unit has an armrest linkage coupled between the seat plate and the back that maintains an armrest lever at a horizontal orientation. Additionally, in some aspects, the base plate of the seating unit may have an adjustment feature that limits recline of the seating unit, to accommodate theater seating with different riser dimensions, and/or legs with an adjustment feature to level the seating unit on existing theater floors.
PACKABLE CHAIR FOR TRANSPORTING CONTAINERS
A packable chair is provided that is transformable between multiple configurations, including a storage configuration and a chair configuration. In the storage configuration, the portions of the packable chair are arranged and fastened to define an enclosed volume in which containers and other items can be stored. A user can wear the packable chair like a backpack in this storage configuration to transport the contents from, for example, a car to a location on a beach. Then, the contents can be removed from the enclosed volume, and the portions can be rearranged to form the chair configuration where a user can lounge and access the contents of the containers. The chair is also capable of achieving a travel configuration in which the chair can be worn as a backpack for convenient transportation without stowing a user's items.
Tilt mechanism for a chair and chair
A tilt mechanism for a chair comprises a base, a first support configured to support a chair seat and mounted to the base, a second support configured to support a chair back and pivotably coupled to the base about the first pivot axis, a link element pivotably coupled to the second support about a second pivot axis, and a shaft attached to the first support. A first guide slot is provided at the base and a second guide slot is provided at the link element. The shaft is supported in the first guide slot and the second guide slot.
ROCKER/GLIDER RECLINER LINKAGE WITH PROJECTED BACK PIVOT POINT
A linkage for use in reclining furniture may include a back bracket supported by forward and rear back pivot links. The bottom of the rear back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to a rear lift link and the bottom of the forward back pivot link may be pivotably coupled to the rear lift link in a different location. A control link may be pivotably coupled on one end to one of the forward back pivot link and the rear back pivot link. The control link may pull the pivoting linkage of the back bracket and the forward and back pivot links as the overall linkage is moved from a closed to a TV to a full-recline position. The resulting pivot point for the back is projected upwardly and forwardly, to a point where an upholstered back and seat meet on a finished chair.
Chair adapted to force a forward and downward movement of the seat with respect to a backward inclination imparted to the backrest
A chair provided with a plate, to which a seat is freely articulated above, by way of at least one first linkage and a second pair of linkages in the rear and front regions, a backrest being articulated laterally and freely to said seat. The first end of a pair of cams is pivoted to the plate at the rear, and the second end is pivoted to the backrest.
Ergonomically adjustable recliner
A recliner for variable adjustment between a substantially horizontal position and an ergonomic seating position includes right-hand and left-hand side parts, which are each made up of an outer side part and an inner side part. The recliner also comprises a backrest element and a seat-surface element, which are connected to one another for rotation via a first bearing rod, as well as a foot-part element, which is connected to the seat-surface element for rotation via a second bearing rod. The foot-part element is mounted between the right-hand and left-hand side parts via a third bearing rod. The first, second and third bearing rods are each mounted for translatory movement in a corresponding guide in the right-hand and left-hand side parts such that the backrest element, the seat-surface element and the foot-part element can be adjusted in a variable manner between a substantially horizontal position and an ergonomic seating position.
Reclining seatback support device
A reclining seatback support device which mainly includes at least one seatback support and a seatback body is revealed. The seatback body and an upper end of the seatback support are provided with pivot bracket portions pivotally connected to each other while a lower part of the seatback body and the seatback support are connected by a swing arm. When a user is sitting and lying down on the back, the seatback body is rotated around the pivot axis where the seatback body is pivotally connected to the upper end of the seatback support and then reclined at a certain angle. By elastic segments of the seatback body and the swing arm between the lower part of the seatback body and the seatback support for pulling and limiting the seatback body, the user can lean on the seatback body comfortably and safely.
CHAIR
A chair with a transom, a seat support, a back portion, and a combined rock and recline mechanism. The combined rock and recline mechanism has front and rear rocking arrangements configured to enable the seat support and back portion to together rock generally forward and rearward from a neutral position relative to the transom, and a recline arrangement that is configured such that the seat support is in a first at-rest position relative to the back portion when the back portion is in an upright position, and such that reclining the back portion rearwardly from the upright position toward a reclined position moves the seat support upward and rearward from the first at-rest position.
