A sidestream smoke removing device includes a housing having a smoking space defined therein, an article inserting part positioned on one end of the housing and having an open area through which a smoking article is inserted into the smoking space, and a sidestream smoke processing part positioned at a distance from an upstream end of the smoking article inserted into the smoking space and configured to process sidestream smoke produced from the smoking article. The sidestream smoke processing part includes a filter including a filter included of pressed activated carbon having a plurality of holes allowing the sidestream smoke to pass therethrough and a ventilation fan configured to allow the sidestream smoke to be discharged through the filter. The sidestream smoke removing device obtains superior functionality in terms of a sidestream smoke removal rate and deodorizing performance while maintaining a suitable flow rate therein.

The smoking article includes low flammability coating portions within a cigarette paper surrounding the smoking material. The article detection part may be configured to detect the low flammability coating portions of the smoking article. The sidestream smoke removing device detects an inserted smoking article using the article detection part and is activated only when the smoking article is inserted thereinto so as not only to provide the functionality of the device to the maximum extent but also to have superior effects in terms of the durability and stability of the device.

The sidestream smoke removing device obtains superior effects in terms of a sidestream smoke removal rate and deodorizing performance without significantly reducing the flow rate after the application of the filter.

The mouthpiece defines a passage (213) extending from the mouth end to the distal end. The passage is configured to receive the aerosol generating article inserted in a direction from the distal end towards the mouth end. The holder further includes a cage (220) extending from the mouthpiece and configured to surround at least a portion of a heat source (102) of the aerosol generating article and configured to allow air to access the heat source. The holder may also optionally include a seal (230) extending from an inner surface of the cage. The seal is arranged to surround and contact the aerosol generating article.

A holder (200) for an aerosol generating article (100) includes a mouthpiece (106) having a mouth end and a distal end. The mouthpiece defines a passage (213) extending from the mouth end to the distal end. The passage is configured to receive the aerosol generating article inserted in a direction from the distal end towards the mouth end. The holder further includes a cage (220) extending from the mouthpiece and configured to surround at least a portion of a heat source (102) of the aerosol generating article and configured to allow air to access the heat source. The holder may also optionally include a seal (230) extending from an inner surface of the cage. The seal is arranged to surround and contact the aerosol generating article.

A holder (200) for an aerosol generating article (100) includes a body (210) defining a passage extending from a first end to a second end of the body for receiving the aerosol generating article. The holder further includes a sleeve (220) having a (i) a ventilation region (222) including one or more holes, and (ii) an extinguishment region (224) downstream of the ventilation region. The sleeve is movable over the body between (i) a retracted position, (ii) an extinguishment position, and (iii) a use position between the retracted position and the extinguishment position. The ventilation region is configured to be aligned with the heat source (102) of the aerosol generating article when the sleeve is in the use position. The extinguishment region is configured to be aligned with the heat source of the aerosol generating article when the sleeve is in the extinguishment position.

An end piece (200) for positioning over a heat source (102) of an aerosol generating article (100) includes a body (210) defining a bore configured to receive the aerosol generating article and includes a cage (220) configured to surround at least a portion of the heat source and to allow air to access the heat source. The end piece also includes a stop (240) arranged to engage a distal end (105) of the heat source as the aerosol generating article is slid through the bore. The stop is configured to prevent the distal end of the heat source from being advanced beyond the cage. The end piece may optionally include a seal (230) extending from an inner surface of the cage downstream of the stop. The seal is arranged to surround and contact the aerosol article to limit volatile compounds released from the heat source during combustion from entering air drawn through the aerosol generating article.

In the battery device of the present application, the liquid storing assembly is disposed therein, so that during an installation process, the user only needs to make one connection to complete the connection between the atomizing device, the battery device and the liquid storing assembly.
