Auto-adjusting headrest for an ergonomic chair
10299601 · 2019-05-28 · ·

An ergonomic chair with an auto-adjusting headrest having a base assembly including floor base, a seat bottom, and vertical structure. A seat back frame and back plate are pivotally attached to the base assembly. An arc-shaped guide bar and head rest restraint are slideably disposed on the back plate. such that the back plate slides approximately parallel to the seat back frame. Arc shaped guide bar rotates as the seat back is tilted rearward and forward.

Mechanical extending linkage and seating unit comprising the same

A mechanical extending linkage is configured to be mounted in a seating unit capable of being moved between a retracted position and an extended position and comprising a seat, a backrest and extendable primary and secondary footrests. The mechanical extending linkage comprises a footrest assembly for extending and retracting the primary footrest and the secondary footrest, the footrest assembly comprising a primary footrest link, a secondary footrest link, and an intermediate link set having a first intermediate link, a second intermediate link, a third intermediate link and a fourth intermediate link. The footrest assembly is configured in such a manner that the secondary footrest link, the first intermediate link and the second intermediate link are arranged substantially parallel with the seat when the seating unit is in the retracted position.

REVERSIBLE HEADREST TILT, LUMBAR MECHANISM

A reversible adjustable lumbar support and headrest tilt mechanism is provided for installation on a chair. A side bracket is coupled to each side of the back frame, and a back bracket is pivotably coupled to each side bracket. An actuator is pivotably coupled to the back frame that has an extendable and retractable shaft. In a first orientation, with the actuator shaft extending toward the upper end of the back frame, a headrest back insert is couple-able to and between the back brackets, such that extension and retraction of the actuator shaft rotates the headrest back insert. In a second orientation, with the actuator shaft extending toward the lower end of the back frame, a lumbar push bar is couple-able to and between the back brackets, such that extension and retraction of the actuator shaft rotates the lumbar push bar.

A seat structure comprises a base configured to be a chair base assembly; a seat support located above the base, wherein a front part of the seat support has rotary connection with the front part of the base through a transition link; a chair back assembly having rotary connection with a rear part of the base through a pivot; a lever driving member linked between the chair back assembly and the seat support, and having rotary connection with a rear part of the seat support, wherein the lever driving member and the seat support are approximately on the same surface. When the chair back assembly rotates rearward around the pivot from the initial position, the rear part of the seat support is raised diagonally to the rear through the lever driving member, meanwhile the transition link and the front part of the seat support are pulled up.
