Analytical gateway device for measurement devices
An analytical gateway device receives measurement data comprising one or more measurement values from one or more measurement devices. The gateway device selects a measurement application from a plurality of measurement applications available for execution (e.g., on the gateway device or some other computing device) based at least in part on the measurement data. For example, the measurement application can be selected based on measurement type information. The measurement type information may include one or more measurement units associated with the measurement values. The gateway device may cause a user interface (or some other information) associated with the measurement application to be presented on a display (e.g., a display of the gateway device or some other computing device in communication with the gateway device).
Differential noise cancellation
In one implementation, a circuit can include a reference pin and an operational amplifier that can include an output pin, an inverting input pin and a non-inverting input pin. The inverting input pin can be electrically coupled to the output pin via a first impedance and to the reference pin via a second impedance. The non-inverting input pin can be electrically coupled to the reference pin via a third impedance and can be configured to receive a detection signal. The reference pin can be configured to receive a detection reference signal associated with the detection signal.
Calibrator lead set for automated calibration
A calibrator lead set, which electrically couples a first device and a second device during calibration of the second device, includes a cable having multiple wires, a first interface connector coupled to a first end of the wires of the cable, and a plurality of second interface connectors coupled to a second end of the wires that is opposite the first end of the wires. The first interface connector includes a connector retaining portion, multiple connection terminals extending from the connector retaining portion, and a sheath extending from the connector retaining portion and surrounding the connection terminals extending from the connector retaining portion. The sheath may be transparent to facilitate positioning of the connection terminals of the first interface connector. The second interface connectors may include a first sheathed, double banana plug connector and a second sheathed, double banana plug connector stackable on the first sheathed, double banana plug connector.
ROTATIONAL ELECTRICAL PROBE
A probe device has a main body and a probe body with different joints, where each joint rotates along different rotatable directions relative to one another. A user of the probe device may rotate the probe body relative to the main body along two separate rotatable axes to reach behind areas that are difficult to reach into using a probe device without rotatable components.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS FOR MEASURING DIRECT CURRENT/LOW FREQUENCY SIGNAL COMPONENTS
A test and measurement probe system, including an input to receive an input signal, the input signal including a low frequency (LF) and/or direct current (DC) component and an alternating current (AC) component, an extractor circuit, such as an AC coupling circuit or a LF and/or DC rejection circuit, configured to receive the input signal and to separate the AC component and the LF and/or DC component from the input signal, a first output to output the alternating current component to the test and measurement instrument, and a second output to output the direct current component to the test and measurement instrument. In some embodiments, the LF and/or DC component is digitized prior to being output by the second output.
Electrical probe
A probe device has a main body and a probe body that can be rotatable relative to one another to change a shape of the probe device. This allows a user to use the probe device with the rotated probe body to reach behind areas that are difficult to reach into when the probe body is not rotated. The probe device could also have both a probe connector and an inductive clamp, where the probe connector could be used to measure a voltage of a conductive surface of an electronic circuit under test and the inductive clamp could be used to inductively measure a current flowing through a wire of an electronic circuit under test. The probe device is preferably configured with a grip configured to open and close the inductive clamp and a user interface positioned opposite the grip.
Test and measurement probe having a touchscreen
A test-and-measurement probe (200) for a test-and-measurement instrument (101), the test-and-measurement probe having a probe head (103) and a touchscreen user interface (250). The probe head is configured to obtain a signal from a device under test. The touchscreen user interface is configured to visually convey test-and-measurement information to a user and to accept user touch input. In embodiments, the touchscreen user interface is removably connected to a compbox (105) of the test-and-measurement probe, through a wired connection or wirelessly.
SPLIT INSULATED INPUT POST FOR ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENT TOOL
A device for performing electrical measurements according to the present disclosure includes a first input post that is electrically conducting, a second input post that is electrically conducting, and a sleeve that is electrically insulating and at least partially surrounds the first input post and the second input post. The sleeve includes a first rib extending in a longitudinal direction of the sleeve and a second rib extending in the longitudinal direction of the sleeve. The first rib and the second rib are constructed to separate the first input post and the second input post.
MULTIMETER WITH A METER PROBE MODULE AND PHASING PROBE MODULE CAPABLE OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATION AND PROXIMITY MEASUREMENTS
The invention involves a multimeter with a meter probe module and phasing probe module capable of wireless communication, proximity measurements, and accurately reading phase degrees. The meter probe module and the phasing probe module can communicate wirelessly, via a wired cable interface, or any combination thereof. The meter probe module and phasing probe module have unique radio frequency serial numbers that allow the probe modules to only communicate with its paired partner probe module while ignoring all other probe modules. The multimeter has a measurement point capable of taking direct contact measurements. The multimeter also has a measurement point capable of taking a voltage measurement without directly contacting the object to be measured. This is accomplished by taking voltage readings from the electric field of the air surrounding said object. The improved multimeter may allow an operator to more safely gather accurate information about an object being measured.
