Digital multimeter

A digital multimeter receives a primary signal including a small amplitude DC component and an induced AC noise component with a magnitude exceeding a magnitude of the DC component. A 100 M input resistor may couple an primary signal to signal processing circuitry that attenuates and filters the primary signal, convert a unipolar signal to a differential signal, and provide the differential output signal to an analog to digital converter. The multimeter may be configurable to couple any one or more of multiple available feedback paths to provide a plurality of available gain-bandwidth configurations. The multimeter may include a second input configurable with two or more feedback path impedances. The multimeter may include a second stage filter, shared by the primary and shunt inputs, that provides additional filtering and converts the signal to a differential signal. The second stage filter may support two or more available impedance configurations.

Clamp meter

A clamp meter is revealed. The clamp includes a pair of jaws disposed on a main body. The main body is arranged with a display panel and a plurality of buttons. The pair of jaws can be opened or closed by manual operation to get data of an object that users intend to measure. The data is transferred to the main body and shown on the display panel. Users can switch to the electrical parameter that they need by pressing the buttons. The clamp meter features on a plurality of indicator lights disposed on the pair of jaws. Users can obtain current data directly by observing the indicator lights.

Digital multi-meter

A multi-meter including a current input, a common input, a display, a first current measurement circuit, a second current measurement circuit, and a controller. The controller includes a first input and a second input. The controller operable to receive a first voltage from the first current measurement circuit at the first input, receive a second voltage from the second current measurement circuit at the second input, determine a value for a current being measured based on the first voltage if the first voltage is below a predetermined threshold, determine a value for a current being measured based on the second voltage if the first voltage is above the predetermined threshold, generate an output signal related to the determined value for the current, and provide the output signal to the display.

Signal analyzer generator

The Signal Analyzer Generator is comprised of a small form-factor electronic device used for measuring and generating electrical signals. The electrical signal interface is comprised of a two-pin connector in which the two pins are spaced 0.1 inches apart such that they connect to prototyping breadboards using two-pin male or female header pins. The purpose of the specific spacing design is to take advantage of the existing hardware owned by potential users of this technology and completely eliminate the need for electrical test leads that would otherwise clutter the workspace. The Signal Analyzer Generator can measure AC and DC voltages, temperature, humidity and current; and it can also generate both sine- and square-wave electrical signalsall of which are commonly used by technicians, engineers and hobbyists. Other unique aspects of the Signal Analyzer Generator are that it can be externally powered or run on its primary battery for power, the ability to stand upright supporting its own weight using only the two header pins, the auto-power-off feature and its ability to connect to a host PC for the logging of measured data.

MULTIMETER WITH A METER PROBE MODULE AND PHASING PROBE MODULE CAPABLE OF WIRELESS COMMUNICATION AND PROXIMITY MEASUREMENTS
20240319231 · 2024-09-26 ·

The invention involves a multimeter with a meter probe module and phasing probe module capable of wireless communication, proximity measurements, and accurately reading phase degrees. The meter probe module and the phasing probe module can communicate wirelessly, via a wired cable interface, or any combination thereof. The meter probe module and phasing probe module have unique radio frequency serial numbers that allow the probe modules to only communicate with its paired partner probe module while ignoring all other probe modules. The multimeter has a measurement point capable of taking direct contact measurements. The multimeter also has a measurement point capable of taking a voltage measurement without directly contacting the object to be measured. This is accomplished by taking voltage readings from the electric field of the air surrounding said object. The improved multimeter may allow an operator to more safely gather accurate information about an object being measured.
