DYNAMIC FURNITURE FEATURING PENDULUM-LIKE MOTION
A dynamic furniture system includes a first frame portion; a set of rollers mounted to the first frame portion; a second frame portion including one or more rockers having a roller-interface surface having a curved profile; wherein the set of rollers interface with the roller-interface surface of the rockers such that the second frame portion is moveable relative to the first frame portion; a set of one or more electromagnets mounted to or integrated with the first frame portion or the second frame portion; a set of one or more magnetically-interactive elements mounted to or integrated with a different one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion; and an electronic control system configured to vary a parameter of electrical energy supplied to the set of electromagnets over time to induce back and forth motion of one of the first frame portion or the second frame portion.
Rocking bed that produces pitch, roll, translational and vibration movements
A rocking bed is disclosed which produces pitching (movement up and down relative to the sleeper), rolling (side to side relative to the sleeper), or translational (movement within the X-Y plane without changing orientation of the sleeper) motion to trigger sensory mismatch which aids the onset of sleep. One embodiment of the bed comprises a top frame supported by triangular trusses, which can rotate freely through pillow block bearings. A motor and crank shaft mechanism causes the bed to pitch upwards and downwards. Another rocking bed embodiment is disclosed wherein the top frame sits on an inverted pyramid structure, which sits on a ball and socket joint that is fixed to the base frame with two motors. These motors permit the full range of motion and can combine types of motion to accelerate sleep onset.
Seat-type rocking device
A strut member is connected to the center of a top plate portion which supports a seat portion and the center of a base portion so that the strut member rockably supports the top plate portion. A pair of rocking mechanisms formed by motors and link mechanisms connected to the output shafts of the motors and the top plate portion, and configured to be vertically displaced in accordance with a rotation of the motors is arranged in a front area or a rear area compared to the strut member in the base portion. The axial direction of the motor of one of the rocking mechanisms is aligned with a left oblique direction from the center of the supporting surface, and the axial direction of the motor of the other of the rocking mechanisms is aligned with a right oblique direction from the center of the supporting surface.
Piezoelectric adaptive mesh
A piezoelectric adaptive mesh includes multiple piezoelectric fibers that include piezoelectric structures that can act as sensor and/or actuators to enhance a person's comfort. The piezoelectric structures communicate with a controller and/or a software processing system and may identify the position of a user and make adjustments through the actuators to increase user comfort by providing support, assistance, treatment, and/or temperature adjustment.
ROCKING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD
A rocking device includes: a seat which supports a body of a user; a motor which rotates a rotation shaft in a first rotation direction and in a second rotation direction that is a rotation direction opposite to the first rotation direction, and thereby supplies motive power for rocking the seat via a gear attached to the rotation shaft; and a controller which controls rocking of the seat via the motor. The seat is configured to make a first motion of moving in a first movement direction, in accordance with rotation of the rotation shaft in the first rotation direction, and make a second motion of moving in a second movement direction, in accordance with rotation of the rotation shaft in the second rotation direction. The controller is configured to control rocking of the seat such that a prescribed stopped period is provided between the first motion and second motion.
SEAT-TYPE ROCKING DEVICE
A strut member is connected to the center of a top plate portion which supports a seat portion and the center of a base portion so that the strut member rockably supports the top plate portion. A pair of rocking mechanisms formed by motors and link mechanisms and the top plate portion, connected to the output shafts of the motors and the top plate portion, and configured to be vertically displaced in accordance with a rotation of the motors is arranged in a front area or a rear area compared to the strut member in the base portion. The axial direction of the motor of one of the rocking mechanisms is aligned with a left oblique direction from the center of the supporting surface, and the axial direction of the motor of the other of the rocking mechanisms is aligned with a right oblique direction from the center of the supporting surface.
Recliner or lift and recliner chair with variable lift profile
A recliner or lift and recliner chair is provided having a recline or lift and recline chair mechanism with preferably with at least one recline or lift-recline actuator that controls a reclining movement or a lifting and reclining movement. The chair mechanism has a recline or lift-recline base, a seat and a back connected thereto. For additional functionality, a cradle assembly is provided in order to provide a cradling movement to the recline or lift-recline base. The cradle assembly includes pivot connections between recline or lift-recline base and the cradle base. A cradle actuator is connected between the cradle base and the recline or lift-recline base. A controller is provided that controls movement of the cradle actuator and preferably at least one recline or lift-recline actuator.
Rocking Chair for Children
A rocking chair for children, comprising a seat body, a supporting frame and a seat body limiting mechanism, a driving motor, a driving motor power output part and a rotating shaft; one end of the rotating shaft is fixedly connected to the driving motor power output part, and the seat body pivots around the other end of the rotating shaft; when the rotating shaft rotates, the pivot point between the other end of the rotating shaft and the seat body moves relative to a fixed connection point between one end of the rotating shaft and the driving motor power output part at a certain distance; and the seat body limiting mechanism can limit the included angle between the seat body and the rotating shaft to be kept within a set angle when the driving motor drives the rotating shaft for forward and reverse rotation in a reciprocating mode.
