FREQUENCY MAPPING USING DRIVE-SENSE CIRCUITS
A data sensing circuit including a reference signal circuit, a reference signal combining circuit, drive-sense circuits, an array of sensors, sets of digital filters, and a processing module. The processing module provides a reference control signal to the reference signal circuit operable to generate a plurality of reference signals based on the reference control signal. The reference signal combining circuit transmits sets of reference signals to the drive-sense circuits operably coupled to an array of sensor. When the sensor is exposed to a condition, and is receiving the signal from the drive-sense circuits, an electrical characteristic of the sensor affects the signal, which is interpreted by the drive-sense circuit and converted to a digital signal to be filtered by the set of digital filters generating a frequency response for the array of sensors.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR DETECTING HARMONIC CURRENT IN SYNCHRONOUS MOTORS
The present invention relates to a method and a system for detecting the harmonic current in synchronous motors. The method includes the following steps: (1) extracting the total stator current harmonics based on the control error between the reference value of fundamental stator current and the feedback value of stator current in the d, q coordinate; (2) using a plurality of synchronous coordinate transformations and low-pass filters to extract each harmonic to be detected from the total harmonic current. Compared with the prior art, firstly, the present invention extracts the total stator current harmonic and then uses a plurality of synchronous coordinate transformations to extract each harmonic to be detected from the total harmonic current, thus the interference of the high-amplitude fundamental component on the harmonic current detection can be suppressed; Secondly, the present invention uses the stator current control error in fundamental d, q coordinate to extract the total stator current harmonics based on the stator current sampling feedback value and the fundamental current reference value. The method is of high accuracy of harmonic current extraction, fast response speed and simple implementation.
Partial discharge detector
A partial discharge (PD) detection system includes a PD sensor configured to sense a PD event of an electrical system and to generate a sensor signal in response to the PD event. An envelope generator is coupled to receive the sensor signal from the PD sensor. The envelope generator extracts an envelope signal from the sensor signal. A digitizer is configured to convert the envelope signal to a digital representation of the PD event.
Current sensor for measuring alternating electromagnetic wave and a current breaker using the same
The present invention relates to a current sensor which measures alternating electromagnetic wave and a current breaker using the same, and the current sensor for alternating current is characterized in that it includes a sensor part arranged at a separation distance from the power wire through which alternating current is flowing; and a means of detecting alternating current by measuring the electromagnetic wave generated across the above sensor part by the electromotive force induced by the alternating current flowing through the above power wire, and in that the above means of detecting alternating current includes an amplifier.
DRIVE SENSE CIRCUIT WITH TRANSIENT SUPPRESSION
A method includes providing, by a signal source circuit of a sensing circuit, a signal to a sensor via a conductor. When the sensor is exposed to a condition and is receiving the signal, an electrical characteristic of the sensor affects the signal. The signal includes at least one of: a direct current (DC) component and an oscillating component. When the sensing circuit is in a noisy environment, transient noise couples with the signal to produce a noisy signal. The method further includes comparing, by a transient circuit of the sensing circuit, the noisy signal with a representation of the noisy signal. When the noisy signal compares unfavorably with the representation of the noisy signal, supplying, by the transient circuit, a compensation signal to the conductor. A level of the compensation signal corresponds to a level at which the noisy signal compares unfavorably with the representation of the noisy signal.
Current measurement apparatus
Integrated circuitry, such as a microcontroller, for controlling an electric motor includes circuitry for measuring a bi-directional current flowing within a coil of the electric motor. The current is sensed by an externally implemented current sensing element, such as a shunt resistor, to produce a differential voltage that is delivered to input pins of the microcontroller, which are protected by electrostatic discharge protection circuits. Current sources implemented within the microcontroller are coupled to the input pins, and work in concert with external resistors to shift the differential voltage so that it is maintained within an appropriate voltage operating range so that an accurate measurement of the bi-directional current can be made by the microcontroller.
Power Rail Noise Monitoring to Detect Attempted Security Tampering or Side Channel Attacks
An apparatus and method for detecting a change in electrical properties in a system is disclosed. Embodiments of the disclosure enable the detection of a change in electrical properties in a system by, in response to a load generated on a power delivery network power in at least part of the system, measuring noise induced in the power delivery network in response to the load. Based on the measured noise, a dynamic-response property of the power delivery network is determined and the dynamic-response property is compared to a stored reference dynamic-response property of the power delivery network based on a predetermined load. In the event of a difference between the dynamic-response property and the reference dynamic-response property, a response to the event is triggered to indicate tampering with the power delivery network.
Enhanced system and method for conducting PCA analysis on data signals
Systems and methods relating to fault detection and diagnosis. Signals received from sensors are first filtered to remove noise and are then analyzed using wavelet packet transform (WPT) based PCA. The results of the PCA analysis are then automatically classified to thereby quickly and easily determine what issues there may be in a finished product or in a machine being monitored.
Remote Attestation of System Integrity
An apparatus and system for remote attestation of a power delivery network is disclosed. Embodiments of the disclosure enable remote attestation of the power delivery network by storing a trusted golden reference waveform in secure memory. The trusted golden reference waveform characterizes a power delivery network in response to a load generated on the power delivery network. A remote cloud server generates a server-generated remote attestation of the power delivery network by receiving an attestation packet from the power delivery network and verifying whether the attestation packet is consistent with an expected power delivery network identity.
