Furniture Member With Foldable Pawl And Ratchet Assembly
A rocking furniture member may include a base frame, a seat assembly, a legrest mechanism, and a pawl assembly. The seat assembly may include a ratchet rack having a plurality of teeth. The pawl assembly may include a support link, a pawl arm, and an actuation link. The support link is rotatably coupled to the base frame. The pawl arm is rotatably attached to the support link and selectively engages one of the ratchet teeth. The actuation link may be attached to the pawl arm and may be coupled to the legrest mechanism such that movement of the legrest mechanism into the extended position moves the pawl arm into engagement with the ratchet rack and movement of the legrest mechanism toward the retracted position causes rotation of the pawl arm relative to the support link and disengages the pawl arm from the ratchet rack.
BASE SEAT FOR BED OR CHAIR
A base seat, which is adapted for being used with a bed or a chair, includes a fixation base, a rocking mount, a drive device, and a swivel mount. The rocking mount is disposed above the fixation base and reciprocatingly and inclinedly moveable relative to the fixation base. The drive device is disposed between the fixation base and the rocking mount to drive the rocking mount to reciprocatingly and inclinedly move relative to the fixation base. The swivel mount is disposed above the rocking mount and rotatable relative to the rocking mount. By rotating the swivel mount and driving the rocking mount to reciprocatingly and inclinedly move, the bed or chair, which is fixedly mounted to the swivel mount, is swingable in a desired direction.
CHAIR AND COVER MEMBER OF THE CHAIR
A chair according to the present invention includes: a leg 1; a leg support pole 13; a support base 4; a movement mechanism 5 located below a seat 2, the movement mechanism 5 provided with plural movement parts 5A, 5B configured to allow the seat 2 to move in a certain area along a predetermined trajectory in a front-rear and left-right directions between the support base 4 and the seat 2, the movement mechanism 5 being a support mechanism configured to support the seat 2 so that the seat 2 moves in the front-rear direction and left-right directions; and plural cover members 71, 72 arranged corresponding to the plural movement parts 5A, 5B. The plural cover members 71, 72 are configured to move relatively in accordance with movement of the plural movement parts 5A, 5B and cover the support mechanism 5.

Dynamically balanced seat assembly having independently and arcuately movable backrest and method
A seat assembly including a seat, a backrest and a mounting assembly mounting the seat in a near horizontal orientation for movement along an upwardly concaved arcuate seat path having a center of curvature proximate the center of mass of a person seated on the seat, and mounting assembly further mounting the backrest in a near vertical orientation for movement independently of the seat along a forwardly concaved arcuate path having a center curvature proximate the center of mass of the person. An adjustment assembly is provided for adjusting the radius of curvature of the path of motion of the backrest. Also provided are a backrest tilt adjustment assembly, an armrest adjustment assembly, a seat biasing assembly and a seat motion latching assembly. A method of self-adjusting support and alignment of a backrest also is disclosed.

BASE SEAT FOR BED, CHAIR OR SOFA
A base seat, which is adapted for being used with a bed, a chair or a sofa, includes a fixation base, a first rocking mount disposed above the fixation base and driven by a first drive device to reciprocatingly swing back and forth relative to the fixation base, a second rocking mount disposed above the first rocking mount and driven by a second drive device to reciprocatingly swing from side to side relative to the first rocking mount, and a swivel mount disposed above the second rocking mount and driven by a third drive device to rotate about an imaginary vertical axis. As such, the base seat can swing back and forth, swing from side to side, and rotate, independently or simultaneously.
Seating device
A seating device includes a base and a seat post extending from the base. The seat post has a first end adjacent the base, a second end opposite the first end, and a longitudinal axis extending between the first end and the second end. The seating device further includes a seat supported by the seat post above the base and a first rocking assembly coupled to the base and the first end of the seat post. The first rocking assembly is operable to angularly displace the seat post relative to the base. The seating device further includes a second rocking assembly coupled to the seat and the second end of the seat post. The second rocking assembly is operable to angularly displace the seat relative to the seat post.
