The voltage sensor also comprises an adder configured to add the numbers of transitions from the transition detectors to generate an output value that is approximately proportional to the voltage.

In general, a card reader configured to read a card for payment and/or other purpose(s) includes a slot configured to receive the card therein. In an exemplary embodiment, a tester is configured to be inserted into the card reader slot and identify whether debris is present in the slot that would prevent the card reader from properly reading data from a card inserted into the slot, e.g., from reading a chip of the card, etc. The tester is configured to be inserted into the card reader slot with the card reader on site at its installed location, e.g., as part of a fuel dispenser or other payment terminal.

In an exemplary embodiment, testing of an electrosurgical generator includes simulating a tissue load being electrosurgically treated in a surgical procedure. The simulated tissue load is simulated by a computer system that includes a circuit that has a plurality of states each corresponding to a different simulated tissue load. The circuit is configured to change between the plurality of states during the testing so as to simulate a plurality of different tissue loads.

A noise reduction device according to one embodiment includes a noise reduction circuit and a failure diagnosis circuit. The noise reduction circuit generates an offset signal with reverse polarity of a noise component generated in a load. The failure diagnosis circuit detects a level of the offset signal. The failure diagnosis circuit determines whether or not a detected level of the offset signal deviates from an appropriate range. The failure diagnosis circuit diagnoses, on the basis of a determination result, whether or not a failure has occurred in the noise reduction circuit.

The present invention provides a method for predicting a remaining lifetime of an electrical component of an electrical circuit, the electrical circuit being part of a building management device. The method comprises: estimating (S1) two or more estimated temperatures of the electrical component by using a trained machine learning model of the electrical component that is trained based on training data. Further, the method comprises: generating (S2) a temporal course of temperature of the electrical component based on the two or more estimated temperatures; and computing (S3), based on the temporal course of temperature of the electrical component, an indicator for the remaining lifetime of the electrical component. The present invention also provides a method for predicting a remaining lifetime of an electrical circuit being part of a building management device.
