ADAPTIVE RESOLVER ENVELOPE DIAGNOSTIC
A diagnostic system for a resolve of a motor and a method of diagnosing the resolver. The diagnostic system includes an x-phase winding, a y-phase winding, and a processor. The x-phase winding generates an x-phase voltage and the y-phase winding generates a y-phase voltage. The processor obtains the x-phase voltage and the y-phase voltage, determines an adaptive cosine envelope from the x-phase voltage and an adaptive sine envelope from the y-phase voltage, determines an adaptive magnitude from the adaptive sine envelope and the adaptive cosine envelope, determines a magnitude average based on the adaptive magnitude, determines a fault of the resolver when a ratio of the adaptive magnitude and the magnitude average is greater than a threshold, and transmits a signal based on the fault.

The disclosure relates to an autonomous device for tracking the usage time of a generator set, capable of providing an operating time of the generator set. The module includes at least one first sensor (101) capable of measuring a first parameter representing a state of operation of said generator set (9), a data processor furnishing the characteristic information for an operating time, as a function of the first parameter, storage of the characteristic information for an operating time, and a transmitter capable of transmitting the characteristic information for an operating time to a terminal or an external server.
Robotic surgical system torque transduction sensing
A method of verifying torque measurements of a reaction torque transducer of an instrument drive unit includes a controller receiving a verification signal, generating an acceptable range of torques, receiving a torque signal, comparing the torque signal to the acceptable range of torques, and stopping a motor if the torque applied by the motor is outside of the acceptable range of torques. The verification signal is indicative of the current drawn by the motor and the torque signal is indicative of torque applied by the motor.
Anomaly detection system and method for electric drives
One illustrative method comprises retrieving a set of drive information associated with an operation of an electric drive in a time period from a drive control unit and one or more sensor units. The method further includes obtaining reliability information associated with the electric drive from a server. The reliability information is computed in the server, with the set of drive information and a model corresponding to a drive type of the electric drive. The reliability information includes a probability of occurrence of the abnormal condition in a specified future time period. The method further includes, providing at least one condition indication regarding the abnormal condition to one of a human machine interface and a drive controller based on the probability of occurrence of the abnormal condition.
Method for measuring a partial discharge in an electric drive system
A method for measuring a partial discharge in an electric drive system with an electric rotating machine and a converter during the operation of the electric drive system includes continuously analyzing a signal shape of a converter signal generated by the converter. A measurement signal is measured while the converter signal has a sinusoidal signal shape, and the measurement signal is compared with a reference signal. A partial discharge is detected when a deviation of the measurement signal from the reference signal exceeds a threshold value.
Traction battery self-heating control method and device
Disclosed is a traction battery self-heating control method and a device. Acquiring a second temperature of a rotor at a current sampling time according to system parameters and a first temperature of the rotor at a previous sampling time, and estimating a third temperature of the rotor at a next sampling time according to the first temperature and the second temperature, and stopping the self-heating of the traction battery when the third temperature reaches a demagnetization temperature of the rotor. Whether to stop the self-heating of the traction battery is determined by estimating a rotor temperature under the self-heating condition, and comparing the rotor temperature with the demagnetization temperature of the rotor, and thus the self-heating control of the traction battery is realized.
Method of calibrating a variable-speed blower motor
A method of calibrating a motor assembly includes selecting an electric motor and a motor controller for the motor assembly, obtaining at least one electric motor parameter of the electric motor, calculating a correction factor for the electric motor based upon the at least one electric motor parameter, and programming the motor controller with the correction factor.
Systems and methods for determining a vehicle alternator condition
Methods and systems for determining an alternator condition in a motor vehicle are provided. The method includes receiving a maximum cranking voltage and a maximum cranking voltage time stamp from the motor vehicle over an asset interface of the telematics device; receiving a maximum device voltage and a maximum device voltage time stamp from the motor vehicle over the asset interface, and determining a potential alternator undercharging condition if a duration between the maximum cranking voltage time stamp and the maximum device voltage time stamp is greater than an undercharging indicator duration threshold. Advantageously, an alternator may be repaired or replaced before it fails thus averting having the motor vehicles inoperable.
ELECTRIC ACTUATOR HEALTH MONITORING
A method for monitoring the health of an electromechanical actuator “EMA” includes: generating a reference profile curve that is representative of a required demand of a measurable characteristic of the EMA; defining upper and lower tolerance limits of said reference profile curve; measuring said characteristic of said EMA and generating a measured curve profile based on said measurement; determining if the generated measured profile curve lies within the upper and lower tolerance limits of said reference profile curve; and if said generated measured profile curve does not lie within the upper and lower tolerance limits, providing an indication that said EMA is unhealthy.
