A method is provided for enhancing comfort of a seat with a hip/thigh support and a back support. The method includes providing a seating pad assembly with a foam cushion made at least partly of a viscoelastic foam and having a cover formed from a dimensionally stable non-stretch material. An upper area of the seating pad assembly is attached to an upper area of the seat back. Pelvic and upper back areas of a person sitting on the seat deform the viscoelastic foam sufficiently to provide a comfortable support and to define anchors for the seating pad assembly. The non-stretch cover extends between those anchors for effectively supporting and cradling the lumbar back area of the person in the seat above and forward of the corner between the seat back and the hip/thigh support.

A foldable multifunction chair including a base for contacting a support surface; a user body support having a support front surface for contacting a user body, the user body support being adjustably pivotably mounted to the base along a transversal axis; a selectively adjustable chair deployment mechanism cooperatively coupled to the base and the user body support, the chair deployment mechanism being configured for selectively adjusting the user body support to a desired angle relative to the base; and a locking mechanism configured for angularly locking the user body support to the desired angle relative to the base. The chair may be used, e.g., as a backrest with an accessory support positioned in front thereof for work, or as a seated workstation wherein the accessory support is positioned adjacent a rear surface of the user body support in a deployed position, and the collapsible seat in a deployed position.

A chair (10) has a chair frame (20) with a seat base (22), a seat cushion (30) sized and adapted for removable placement in the seat base and a chair back (26), attached to the seat base. A cover assembly for use therewith has a web (32) of water-resistant material, with first and second ends (34, 36) and a biased, window-shade type spring roller (50), positioned in the seat base. The first end of the web of water resistant material is attached to the spring roller and the second end of the web of water resistant material is provided with means for removably attaching the second end to the chair frame. In a first, deployed condition, the web of water-resistant material extends across a top surface of the seat cushion; and in a second, non-deployed condition, the web of water-resistant material is rolled onto the biased, window-shade type spring roller.

A lounge chair includes a support structure that is designed to allow the chair to be positioned in a forward facing position, and also be flipped rearwards so that it can be usable as a chair when facing in a rearward position.

Provided is a cushion including a pad, an envelope, and a support pad set. The pad has a sunken portion. The envelope is disposed on the pad. The envelope has a pocket-shaped body. A plurality of coupling portions is disposed at edges of the body. The support pad set includes an upper foam pad, a lower foam pad, and a soft gel pad. The support pad set is disposed in the body of the envelope.

Presented is a releasable clip assembly operable to secure a cushion to a supporting surface, the assembly having a male component which is received in a first axis in a chassis of a female component. The clip assembly also has one or more engagement elements configurable into an open configuration to admit the male component and operable to return to a closed configuration to engage the received male component to secure it in the chassis, and one or more release elements operable when actuated transversely to the first axis to allow the engagement elements to be configured in the open configuration to release the male component.

Provided is a cushion including a pad, an envelope, and a support pad set. The pad has a sunken portion. The envelope is disposed on the pad. The envelope has a pocket-shaped body. A plurality of coupling portions is disposed at edges of the body. The support pad set includes an upper foam pad, a lower foam pad, and a soft gel pad. The support pad set is disposed in the body of the envelope.

A personal carry bag includes two opposed panels, at least one panel having a cushioned interior for selective use as one or more of a seat cushion, a back rest for use on an existing seat back, or a working surface for placement on a user's lap, a chair, bench, table, or ground surface. The personal carry bag also includes a zipper that interconnects respective perimeters of the two opposed panels when the zipper is closed to form a sealed compartment and which enables the two opposed sections to be physically separated when the zipper is opened and be individually used as one or more of the seat cushion, back rest, or working surface. A removable cushion for a chair having an outer surface and an inner foam, as well as at least one magnetic member. The inner foam and the outer surface are formed from the same polymer, with the outer surface forming an integral skin over the inner foam. The outer surface defines an upper surface and a lower surface. The lower surface is structurally configured to be positioned in an abutting relationship with a seating surface of a chair. The at least one magnetic member is embedded within one of the outer surface and the inner foam, the at least one magnetic member positioned closer to the lower surface than the upper surface of the outer surface.
