The at least one processor is configured to: identify that a magnetic signal is detected through the magnetic sensor; identify, based on a magnitude of the detected magnetic signal, whether the magnetic signal is generated by coupling the electronic device with a cover device; and based on identifying that the magnetic signal is generated by coupling the electronic device with the cover device, correct sensor data of the magnetic sensor.
Flux coupling sensor and target
An apparatus is arranged for sensing a position of a target, in particular for offset invariant sensing of the position of the target is described, as well as the respective target and the method. The apparatus comprises at least two sensor elements. At least one sensor element of the at least two sensor elements generates a magnetic field. At least one other sensor element of the at least two sensor elements receives the magnetic field and outputs at least one signal associated with the received magnetic field. The target affects a coupling of a magnetic flux of the magnetic field between the at least one sensor element generating the magnetic field and the at least one other sensor element receiving the magnetic field and wherein the target is non-rotational invariant.
Sensor circuit with offset compensation
A sensor circuit comprises a sensor adapted to sense a physical quantity and to produce a sensor output signal. A sensor-offset correction block is arranged to receive a signal indicative of a supply voltage applied to the sensor circuit and to generate a compensation signal based on the signal indicative of the supply voltage and on a quantity indicative of a state of the sensor circuit. A combiner is adapted to combine the sensor output signal with the compensation signal, thereby obtaining a compensated signal.
Magnetic sensor device
A magnetic sensor device includes a composite chip component, and a sensor chip mounted on the composite chip component. The sensor chip includes a first magnetic sensor, a second magnetic sensor, and a third magnetic sensor that detect components of an external magnetic field that are in directions parallel to an X direction, parallel to a Y direction, and parallel to a Z direction, respectively. The composite chip component includes a first magnetic field generator, a second magnetic field generator, and a third magnetic field generator for generating additional magnetic field components that are in directions parallel to the X direction, parallel to the Y direction, and parallel to the Z direction, respectively.
Magnetic field sensors having stray field rejection
Described embodiments provide a magnetic field sensor that includes first and second spaced magnetic field sensing elements that each generate a signal indicative of a magnetic field associated with a target. A switching module couples a first terminal of the first magnetic field sensing element having a first polarity to a first terminal of the second magnetic field sensing element having a polarity opposite the first polarity to generate a first combined signal. The switching module couples a second terminal of the first magnetic field sensing element having a polarity opposite the first polarity to a second terminal of the second magnetic field sensing element having the first polarity to generate a second combined signal. The switching module simultaneously couples the first and the second combined signals to an amplifier, which generates an output signal indicative of the magnetic field that has stray magnetic field effects cancelled.
Sensors having signal redundancy
Methods and apparatus for combining redundant signals to generate outputs signals with enhanced accuracy and/or risk level. In embodiments, first signals are generated by a first transducer and second signals are generated by a second transducer. In other embodiments, first signals are generated by a first die and second signals are generated by a second die. An amount of overlap between error distributions of the first and second signals can be used to detect failure and/or indicate risk of failure.
Apparatus and method for lower magnetometer drift with increased accuracy
The present disclosure relates to apparatuses and methods for stimulating a magneto-optical defect material with defect centers in a magnetic detection system using a stimulation process to significantly increase magnetic sensitivity of the detection system. The system utilizes a Ramsey pulse sequence pair or a shifted magnetometry adapted cancellation (SMAC) pair to detect and measure the magnetic field acting on the system. Utilizing a pair of magnetic measurements that are approximately in quadrature improves the dynamic range and accuracy of the magnetic detection.
SPIN TORQUE OSCILLATOR (STO) SENSORS USED IN NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCING ARRAYS AND DETECTION SCHEMES FOR NUCLEIC ACID SEQUENCING
Disclosed herein are methods and apparatuses for sequencing nucleic acids using a detection device, the detection device comprising a plurality of spin torque oscillators (STOs) and at least one fluidic channel. In some embodiments of a method, a nucleotide precursor is labeled with a magnetic nanoparticle (MNP), and the labeled nucleotide precursor is added to the fluidic channel of the detection device. It is determined whether at least one of the plurality of STOs is generating a signal. Based at least in part on the determination of whether the at least one of the plurality of STOs is generating the signal, it is determined whether the labeled nucleotide precursor has been detected.
Electronic device with magnetic field sensor design for detection of multiple accessories
An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device includes a device magnet designed to magnetically couple with an accessory device magnet. The electronic device further includes a display assembly and a magnetic field sensor configured to detect the accessory device magnet, thereby providing an indication that the accessory device is covering the display assembly. The electronic device further includes a shunt assembly designed to reduce the magnitude of the magnetic field of the device magnet, as determined by the magnetic field sensor, while allowing the magnetic field from the accessory device to sufficiently reach the magnetic field sensor. As such, the magnetic field sensor can be placed near the device magnet without triggering the magnetic field sensor. The electronic device may further include a microphone. Communication between the microphone and an integrated circuit can cease based on the magnetic field sensor detecting the accessory device magnet.
