Lightweight collapsible chair with trekking poles supports
Embodiments of chair systems incorporating trekking poles include a low-back design employing fixed-length trekking poles, and a high-back design employing adjustable-length trekking poles that allow for adjusting the recline angle of the chair. The chair system generally includes a tubular frame that releasably engages a flexible seat. The tubular frame includes a front hub and a rear hub spaced one from the other by a cross bar, plus front and rear footings which stabilize the chair system on the ground or undersurface. A V-shaped upper support extending from the front hub supports and holds open the leg portion of the flexible seat, while the trekking poles are releasably engaged with and extend upwardly from the rear hub to support, and hold open and upright the back portion of the flexible seat.
MULTI LAYERED MODULAR SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR LOUNGE AND OTHER APPLICATIONS
A lounge having a matrix mat and a plurality of modules capable of being inserted into the matrix mat. The lounge may include a frame configured as a rigid frame, a modular frame, and combinations thereof. The modular frame may further include a tri-cable suspension. The tri-cable suspension may be attached to a dilator retractor mechanism. The modules may be a mushroom cap module, a spider spring module, a web module, a lighting module, an electronics module, and combinations thereof.
SEATING DEVICE AND METHOD OF USE
A method of using a seating device including a base, a plurality of roller mechanisms, a seat operably associated with the base via the plurality of roller mechanisms for movement relative thereto, the seat including a leading edge in a direction of travel, comprises receiving a user's sitting area on the seat of the seating device with the seat in a position centered over the base; and based on user input the seat moving toward the leading edge in the direction of travel away from the seat centered over the base while the user's muscles are engaged to maintain an upright posture, helping to improve the user's motor control, stability and strength over time.
CHAIR WITH VARIABLE POSITIONING AND SUPPORT
An adjustable chair frame with a back and seating surfaces that flex to conform to the shape, weight and movement of an occupant is disclosed. The chair form and proportions provide for a recumbent position that disperses the weight of the occupant more evenly, thereby reducing external and internal physiological point loading. The form also provides ergonomic articulation to minimize internal physiological stresses such as neck/back vertebral compression. Eccentric connections driven by a motor assembly allow positioning adjustment of the components of the chair. Additionally, an air pump assembly may be included to automatically adjust one or more air bladders provided on the interior of the chair frame.
FURNITURE CONSTRUCTION WITH ELASTIC OR SPRING MODULES
Furniture is assembled from elastic modules enabling rapid and convenient assembly and disassembly. The elastic module has a spring, an outer covering layer, and an end member attached to an end face of the outer covering layer. A mattress includes a plurality of individual spring assemblies (145), with each spring assembly including at least one spring (134) and a spring cap (144, 150, 161, 164, 171, 184, 194, 204). Each spring cap has at least one first attachment fitting (168, 178, 174, 186, 196) and at least one second attachment fitting (169, 180, 176, 187) with each first attachment fitting engageable into or onto and removable from a second attachment fitting of an adjoining spring cap. The spring assemblies are attached to each other via the first and second attachment fittings, forming the individual spring assemblies into a spring core. A top pad is positioned on top of the spring core. The mattress can be quickly dis-assembled and stored in a compact space by removing the top pad and separating the spring assemblies from each other.
Load bearing surface
An elastomeric load hearing surface with different load support characteristics in different directions. In one embodiment, the surface includes an elastomeric membrane that is oriented in only a single direction, for example, by compression or stretching. In another embodiment, the surface includes mechanical structures, such as connectors and variations in thickness that vary the load support characteristics in different directions. In another embodiment, a surface is both oriented and includes mechanical structures.
CHAIRS INCLUDING FLEXIBLE FRAMES
A chair includes a support spine. A seat assembly is coupled to the support spine, and the seat assembly includes a flexible frame being movable relative to the support spine. The flexible frame comprises a first frame element, a second frame element coupled to the first frame element at a first corner, and a third frame element coupled to the second frame element at a second corner. The first corner and the second corner are substantially independently movable relative to the support spine. A conformable panel is coupled to the flexible frame and configured to engage an occupant of the chair. A resistance assembly couples the support spine to the flexible frame. The resistance assembly bears against the flexible frame to facilitate substantially independent movement of the first corner and the second corner relative to the support spine.
Compressible sitting stool
The present invention relates to a compressible sitting stool. The stool may include a housing, a compressible layer located in the housing interior, and a plurality of dowels located above the compressible layer. The tops of the plurality of dowels create a sitting area and when a user sits on the sitting area, the dowels move downwards compressing the compressible material.
APPARATUS AND SYSTEM FOR DYNAMICALLY CORRECTING POSTURE
An orthopedic device for improving posture while sitting, having a foundation member including a front portion for upper legs and a bowl portion for lower pelvic area. The bowl portion has a central portion and an upwardly inclined lateral portion. The lateral portion and the front portion collectively surround the central portion. A channel attachment is connected with one or more pelvic crest portions. The channel attachment portion connects over a concave recessed portion. The central portion has plural regions of varying flexibility and the lateral portion has plural regions of varying flexibility.
SWINGING APPARATUS AND AMUSEMENT RIDE INCLUDING THE SAME
The swinging apparatus includes a base, a support located above the base, a coupler disposed between the base and the support and including a universal joint, and linear actuators disposed between the base and the support. Each of the linear actuators includes a first end and a second end located on an opposing side to the first end. The first end is mechanically connected to one of the base and the support. The second end is configured to freely move touching a surface of the other of the base and the support.
