MECHANICAL WATCH HAVING AN INTEGRATED TRACKING MODULE
20240085854 · 2024-03-14 ·

A mechanical watch includes an internal tracking module. The tracking module includes a transmitter, a microprocessor, and optionally a GPS module and a power source. The components of the tracking module are integrated into the watch by embedding them within one or more components of the mechanical watch. If a watch is lost or stolen, the tracking module may be actuated to provide location data over a network to a software application. To conserve power, the tracking module only actively receives and/or transmits signals periodically during intermittent windows of time.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING UWB BEACON POLE LOCATIONS FOR EXTENDED SERVICE AREAS OF A ROBOT
20240085511 · 2024-03-14 ·

A method includes identifying a first anchor of a plurality of anchors as an initiator and identifying multiple second anchors of the plurality of anchors as multiple responders, the plurality of anchors located in a service area to be traversed by a robot. The method also includes sending, to the initiator and the responders via a wireless side-link, ranging information and a command to start ultra-wideband (UWB) ranging. The method also includes receiving, from the initiator via the wireless side-link, pair-wise range measurements representing UWB range measurements between the initiator and the responders. The method also includes generating initial location values for the initiator and the responders based on the pair-wise range measurements and one or more geometric constraints imposed on the initiator and the responders. The method also includes estimating 3D coordinates of the initiator and the responders using the initial location values.

Aspects of the disclosure provide systems including linear material and tracking tags. The tracking tag may be at least initially arranged on the liner material. The tracking tag may also include a top layer, beacon transmission circuitry, a bottom layer of adhesive, and an activation mechanism. The activation mechanism may be configured to activate the tracking tag and cause the beacon transmission circuitry to transmit beacon signals in order to enable tracking of the object. The activation mechanism may further include an initially closed circuit, and the activation mechanism may be configured to automatically activate the tracking tag when the tracking tag is removed from the liner material

ACTIVATION MECHANISMS FOR TRACKING TAGS

Aspects of the disclosure provide systems including linear material and tracking tags. A first tracking tag may be at least initially arranged on the liner material. The first tracking tag may also include beacon transmission circuitry including one or more batteries, a top layer, a bottom layer including an adhesive, and an activation mechanism. The activation mechanism may be configured to activate the first tracking tag and cause the beacon transmission circuitry to transmit beacon signals in order to enable tracking of the object. The activation mechanism may further include an initially closed circuit that extends beyond a perimeter of the top layer, and the activation mechanism may be configured to automatically activate the tracking tag when the tracking tag is separated from an adjacent tracking tag on the liner material

TRACKING TAGS

Aspects of the disclosure provide tracking tags. As an example, a tracking tag may include beacon transmission circuitry including one or more batteries, a frame configured to hold the one or more batteries in place, an adhesive arranged to secure the tracking tag to an object, and an activation mechanism configured to activate the tracking tag and cause the beacon transmission circuitry to transmit beacon signals in order to enable tracking of the object.

DISPLAY CONTROL SYSTEM, METHOD AND INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS

A display control system includes: first wireless devices respectively attached to management targets in a real space and storing first identification information; second wireless devices installed at respective positions in the real space and storing second identification information; a reading apparatus that can read identification information from a wireless device; an estimation unit that estimates positional coordinates at which each management target is positioned based on results of reading of the first and second identification information by the reading apparatus; and a display control unit. The real space is regularly segmented into coordinate regions. The display control unit causes the display apparatus to display coordinate region information regarding coordinate regions to which positional coordinates estimated for the respective management targets belong.

TRACKING DEVICE PRESENCE DETECTION AND REPORTING BY ACCESS POINTS
20240048943 · 2024-02-08 ·

A tracking system determines a location of a tracking device associated with a user using one or more access points at the location. Each access point at the location is configured to detect and couple with the tracking device when the tracking device is within a communicative range of the access point. An access point provides updates on the tracking device's presence, as well as the tracking device's arrival to and departure from the communicative range of the access point, to a tracking server. The tracking server determines, from these updates, whether the tracking device is at the location. The user may be notified, via a mobile device, of the tracking device's location.
