Interactive emergency visualization methods
Methods for emergency visualization are disclosed. The methods include a computer-implemented method for interactive emergency visualization that includes receiving a notification concerning an incident associated with a multi-floor structure, requesting location information from a user device geographically associated with the multi-floor structure, and receiving, in response to the request, a beacon identifier from the user device, the beacon identifier being associated with a beacon disposed within the multi-floor structure. The method also includes determining on which floor of the multi-floor structure the user device is located based on the beacon identifier and stored information indicating the location of the beacon and displaying a graphical map of the multi-floor structure and information indicating the specific floor on which the user device is located.
Downed aircraft location system and method
An EM emitter includes at least three orthogonal coils driven by an oscillating voltage source, with the coils being electrically in parallel or series. When used in a vehicle, particularly an airplane, and the vehicle is lost, e.g., sinks, the emitter's EM signal passes through water with little attenuation and can be detected and the vehicle located.

PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE, METHOD OF CONTROLLING PORTABLE ELECTRONIC DEVICE, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIUM
Provided is a portable electronic device including a transceiver configured to acquire information from a roadside device, a storage, and a controller configured to acquire position information of the roadside device based on the information acquired by transceiver, and to cause the storage to store the acquired position information as position information of the portable electronic device at a time of acquiring the information.
TRANSMITTERS-BASED LOCALIZATION AT INTERSECTIONS IN URBAN ENVIRONMENTS
New measurement inputs for Kalman Filter or similar estimation approaches (at each sample) may include: DSRC messages from roadside transmitters (RSTs), such as: how long it takes for a DSRC signal from one or more fixed RSTs to reach the vehicle and comparison of that information with vehicle position estimates from a signal propagation model, which is based on how long it takes a DSRC signal to reach the vehicle GPS location from a fixed known RST location. From such measurements, it can be determined how much longer (or shorter) it takes to receive the RST message compared to the previous sample, which, in turn, gives an idea how far the vehicle has moved over a sample relative to a fixed RST location.
SYSTEM AND METHOD OF INFRASTRUCTURE SENSOR SELF-CALIBRATION
A device, method and software program for sensor self-calibrating are disclosed, including sensing, by sensors, objects in at least one field of view and generating sense data from the sensing; detecting, from the sense data, at least one marker disposed in a fixed position within the at least one field of view; for each marker detected, extracting position information of the marker and associating the marker with the extracted position information therefor; and calibrating the sensors based upon the extracted position information for each marker detected.

IMAGE OBTAINING APPARATUS, IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS, AND USER TERMINAL
Provided is a monitoring system including an image obtaining apparatus and an image processing apparatus. The image obtaining apparatus includes: a camera; a beacon sensor; a processor configured to match beacon information obtained by detecting, by the beacon sensor, a beacon attached to an object existing in a monitoring region, to an image of the monitoring region captured by the camera; and a memory storing the image matched with the beacon information.
Position estimation of a receiver using anchor points
Estimating one or more positions of a receiver using one or more anchor points. Systems and methods for estimating a position of a receiver using a particular anchor point may identify an area of interest that includes anchor points, identify the particular anchor point, and then use information about the particular anchor point to estimate the position of the receiver.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PAYMENT USING BEACON
A payment method and apparatus using a beacon are disclosed. The present disclosure in some embodiments enables bidirectional communication between a payment terminal and a user terminal, and works universally over all user terminals having various operating systems, and facilitates authentication in a short distance but not in a too close range. According to another embodiment of the present disclosure, a payment apparatus using a beacon, which is wired to a merchant terminal and is responsive to the presence of a user terminal within a predetermined range detected by using a range sensor, for establishing a communication channel based on a beacon communication with the user terminal, to relay the settlement-related information between the user terminal and the merchant terminal, and to provide a payment method using a beacon, thereby providing the settlement service more efficiently, while overcoming the limitation of the conventional NFC settlement system.
