SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF MUSTER WITH BEACONS AND GATEWAYS
20180074156 · 2018-03-15 ·

Systems for muster include an entrance receiving device in a location adapted to receive a plurality of beacon broadcasts from one or more of a plurality of mobile beacons, each associated with a worker and broadcasting an identification ID of the worker, to create an on-site record of workers entering or exiting the location. The system includes a muster site receiving device at a muster site to record an identification ID from beacon broadcasts of workers at the muster site. The on-site record is compared to the recorded muster site IDs to determine if all workers have mustered. Alarms may be triggered if not.

A system for creating of list of active beacons includes at least one receiving device, comprising a receiver adapted to receive a beacon broadcast from one or more of a plurality of beacons, resulting in one or more received beacon broadcasts, a processor, a memory, and a smart beacon application. For each received beacon broadcast comprising informational data and data regarding a range of relevance for that beacon, the smart beacon application: 1) determines whether the beacon is relevant by comparing a strength of the received beacon broadcast to the range of relevance in the beacon broadcast, and 2) creates a list of relevant beacons.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF BEACON BROADCASTS WITH RANGE OF RELEVANCE
20180077545 · 2018-03-15 ·

Disclosed herein is a system that provides location and information communication including a beacon, wherein the beacon transmits both information and data related to the beacon's relevant range and a receiving device, wherein the receiving device determines whether the transmitted information is relevant based on the received signal strength and the transmitted data related to relevant range.

METHOD OF DETERMINING BEACON RELEVANCE

A system includes a disabling device with a radio circuit configured to disrupt communication having a predetermined protocol; and a movable device including a radio circuit to receive the communication, wherein the radio circuit sends the protocol to disable the movable device.

LOCAL POSITIONING WITH COMMUNICATION TAGS

A local positioning system may include a reader assembly and a data processing assembly. The reader assembly may be configured to read tag data from at least one wireless communication tag of a plurality of wireless communication tags disposed in spaced-apart fixed positions relative to a structure extending along an expanse when the reader assembly is disposed in the expanse proximate to the at least one wireless communication tag. The reader assembly may also generate a communication-tag signal representative of the read tag data. A data processing assembly may be configured to access a mapping of the plurality of wireless communication tags relative to the structure. The data processing assembly may be further configured to determine a location of the reader assembly based on the read tag data and the mapping of the plurality of wireless communication tags relative to the structure.

An indoor positioning system based on building design information is disclosed. The system includes a server computer to provide indoor position information relating to a building, a plurality of beacons to be installed in selected locations in the building and to broadcast by each beacon an indoor position message indicating the indoor position of the beacon, and an installer to configure the beacons with their corresponding indoor position information. An indoor positioning system development system is also provided. The development system incorporates building information files and provides a development interface for users to determine respective locations to install the beacons. Once completed, the obtained results are converted into an indoor position message for each beacon and configured in the corresponding beacon.

Object Location Tracking Using Mobile Communication Device

An object location tracking system may include an object, a mobile communication device, and a data storage system. The object may include a wireless short range communication system that wirelessly transmits object identification information over a short range that uniquely identifies the object. The mobile communication device may have a location detection system that generates location information indicative of the location of the wireless communication device; a wireless short range communication system that wirelessly receives the object identification information from the object when the object is in close proximity to the mobile communication device; and a wireless data communication system that wirelessly communicates the location information and the object identification information to a data storage system. The data storage system may receive and store the location information and the object identification from the wireless data communication system in the mobile communication device.

INTERACTIVE EMERGENCY VISUALIZATION METHODS
20180054713 · 2018-02-22 ·

Methods for emergency visualization are disclosed. The methods include a computer-implemented method for interactive emergency visualization that includes receiving a notification concerning an incident associated with a multi-floor structure, requesting location information from a user device geographically associated with the multi-floor structure, and receiving, in response to the request, a beacon identifier from the user device, the beacon identifier being associated with a beacon disposed within the multi-floor structure. The method also includes determining on which floor of the multi-floor structure the user device is located based on the beacon identifier and stored information indicating the location of the beacon and displaying a graphical map of the multi-floor structure and information indicating the specific floor on which the user device is located.
