20240426959 · 2024-12-26 · ·

An antenna direction calculation device acquires a plurality of relationships, each indicating a relationship between: weather data on a radio wave communication path between a transmitting-side antenna and a receiving-side antenna; and an optimal reception direction for the receiving-side antenna in a case of: a radio wave transmission direction of the transmitting-side antenna being a predetermined transmission direction; and the weather data. The antenna direction calculation device generates, using the plurality of relationships and a machine learning technique, a direction calculation model that, upon receiving an input of weather data on the radio wave communication path, outputs a reception direction for the receiving-side antenna, using the plurality of relationships and a machine learning technique.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR EFFICIENT DIRECTIONAL DISCOVERY OF COMMUNICATIONS TERMINALS VIA BEAM INTERLEAVING

A node of a multi-node network includes a communications interface incorporating one or more paired antenna elements wherein a transmitter (Tx) element and receiver (Rx) element are oriented in opposing directions. The node discovers and/or links to other nodes of the network by orienting each paired antenna element to transmit to other nodes in one direction and receive in the opposing direction (e.g., through a transmit and receive region, the transmit region opposite the receive region). At subsequent time intervals (e.g., alternating with the first time interval or set thereof), the Tx antenna elements transmit in directions through the initial receive region, each transmit direction interleaved between two prior receive directions, while the Rx antenna elements simultaneously attempt to receive in opposing directions through the initial transmit region, each receive direction interleaved between two prior transmit directions.

Configurable coordinate system for angle reporting for positioning

Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a base station performs one or more angle-based measurements in a first coordinate system, determines whether to report, to a positioning entity, the one or more angle-based measurements in a local coordinate system (LCS) or a global coordinate system (GCS), and reports the one or more angle-based measurements to the positioning entity in the LCS or the GCS based on the determination. In an aspect, a positioning entity receives, from a base station, one or more angle-based measurements in an LCS of the base station or a GCS, determines whether the one or more angle-based measurements are in the LCS or the GCS, and processes the one or more angle-based measurements based on the determination.

Process and system for image evaluation using a camera, a group of transmitters and a receiver

A process and an image evaluation system are provided with a mobile sensor arrangement, including a camera (IR), a motion sensor (IMU), and a receiver (Komm), that is moved through a spatial area. The camera generates an image sequence. The motion sensor generates an orientation signal with camera viewing direction in a predefined three-dimensional coordinate system when generating an image. A signal processing unit (Sv) checks whether the receiver is receiving a signal from a transmitter (UWB.1, UWB.2, UWB.3) of a transmitter group. If the receiver receives a signal, the signal processing unit determines the distance between the transmitter and the receiver. A classifier (Kl) searches for images of humans in images of the image sequence. The signal processing unit decides whether an image of a human shows a person associated with a transmitter of the transmitter group and may generate a trajectory describing the movement of the camera.

Angle of arrival of personal area network devices using a switched beam antenna

A method and apparatus for measuring the angle of arrival AOA of Classic Bluetooth Basic Rate (BR) packets, using a switched beam antenna SBA is described. Paging packets are transmitted and wide antenna beams, quadrants, are selected in turn until the paging response is received. After transmitting the synchronization packet and the temporary connection is established, narrow antenna beams are selected, in sequences and the average signal strength for each beam is recorded, for each sequence. The beam with the highest signal strength is returned as the AOA. Based upon which beam recorded the highest signal strength, the next sequence of antenna beams is selected.
