Systems and Methods of Calibrating a Heliostat
A heliostat calibration system having a system controller, and a heliostat having a heliostat controller, wherein: the system controller is configured to receive a calibration data point and initial calibration offset angle guess, calculate a tracking error, identify a calibration offset angle, and the heliostat controller configured to transmit a calibration data point, receive adjustment instructions, and execute the adjustment instructions.
LASER MEASURING SYSTEM WITH MULTIPLE SYNCHRONOUS BASES
A laser measuring system including first and second laser base stations and a laser receiver is provided. The laser receiver detects a first laser signal from the first laser base station. Location information associated with the first laser base station is extracted from the detected first laser signal. The laser receiver detects a second laser signal from the second laser base station. Location information associated with the second laser base station is extracted from the detected second laser signal. A position of the laser receiver is determined based on the extracted location information associated with the first laser base station and the extracted location information associated with the second laser base station.
Optical sensor and optical sensor system
An optical sensor includes at least two optical sensing pixels and at least two different grating elements. These grating elements are disposed above these optical sensing pixels correspondingly.
Star tracker for multiple-mode detection and tracking of dim targets
Multiple mode star tracker methods and systems in which attitude information and image information is generated are provided. The multiple mode star tracker includes a detector having a plurality of pixels arranged in a focal plane array. The detector is operated to obtain multiple image frames from within a field of view containing a plurality of stars. For each of the image frames, the attitude of the detector and in turn the attitude of each pixel is determined. Based on the attitude quaternion of the individual pixels within a plurality of frames, image data from the plurality of frames is co-added or stacked to form a composite image. The co-addition of multiple frames of image data enables or facilitates the detection of dim objects by the multiple mode star tracker. Moreover, embodiments of the present disclosure enable the attitude quaternion for individual pixels within individual frames to be determined using the multiple mode star tracker function of the instrument, and without requiring attitude information provided by a separate device, such as a gyroscope.

Visual augmentation system effectiveness measurement apparatus and methods
Apparatus and related methods are provided for evaluating effectiveness of a visual augmentation system (VAS), such as night vision goggles (NVGs). The apparatus and methods illustratively measure the response time of the visual augmentation system (VAS) as a function of targeting detection, engagement, and scan angle.
OPTICAL SENSOR AND OPTICAL SENSOR SYSTEM

4D camera tracking and optical stabilization
A light-field video stream may be processed to modify the camera pathway from which the light-field video stream is projected. A plurality of target pixels may be selected, in a plurality of key frames of the light-field video stream. The target pixels may be used to generate a camera pathway indicative of motion of the camera during generation of the light-field video stream. The camera pathway may be adjusted to generate an adjusted camera pathway. This may be done, for example, to carry out image stabilization. The light-field video stream may be projected to a viewpoint defined by the adjusted camera pathway to generate a projected video stream with the image stabilization.
Energy insertion into seeker
A system and method for improved detection of lasers for use in laser guidance systems. By providing background illumination via one or more radiation sources the accuracy of the laser detection system can be improved. A closed loop system detects the background current on the detector and provides additional illumination when the back ground level is below a threshold current value thus providing for a faster detector response.
