A method, computer program, and computer system of a base station is provided for determining a location of a mobile device by receiving data from a mobile device associated with a location of the mobile device and generating a world model database corresponding to a physical location of the base station. The received data is constrained based on the generated world model database, and an updated location of the mobile device is determined based on the constrained data.

System and method for detecting a user-dependent state of a sport object

The invention relates to a system for detecting a user-dependent state of a sports object, comprising a detection device (101) for detecting a plurality of positions of the sports object, and a determination device (103) for determining the state of the sports object based on the plurality of positions detected.

Concepts for identifying an asset sort location

Systems and methods for facilitating the sorting of assets to sort locations. In various embodiments, a sort employee scans an indicia using a user device, which stores asset data corresponding to the stored asset. As the sort employee nears a sort location (e.g., a delivery vehicle) with the asset and the user device, the user device automatically communicates wirelessly with a sort location receiver to associate the asset with data indicative of the sort location where the user deposits the asset. In various embodiments, a device may determine whether the user device is proximate the appropriate sort location for the item, and may generate an alert upon a determination that the user device is proximate an incorrect sort location.

Systems and Methods of Tracking Locations Visited by Mobile Devices to Quantify a Change from a Time Series of Responses

Systems and methods including mobile devices determining their locations using location determination units, such as GPS receivers. A computing device generates a statistical measurement of location pattern changes in relation to a predetermined region for a predetermined period of time. The measurement is generated from a difference between the average response of exposed mobile devices and the average response of non-exposed mobile devices, where each response of a mobile device is computed by: determining a sequence of time instances of the mobile devices being at locations within the region, generating a time series of visitation measurements from the time sequence, applying at a time instance an anti-symmetric weight function having an exponential distribution to the time series to generate the response corresponding to the time instance, and summing the responses corresponding to time instances falling within the predetermined period of time as the response of the mobile device.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR OBJECT TRACKING ANTI-JITTER FILTERING

A speed-based projection filtering method includes generating, based on a sequence of raw location points that indicate locations of a tracking tag attached to a tracked object, a sequence of averaged location points. Based on at least two most-recent averaged location points of the sequence, a latest speed and direction of the tracked object are determined. Based on the latest speed and direction, one or more projected location points are determined when the latest speed of the tracked object is greater than a high-speed threshold and raw location points are missing after the sequence of raw location points. The projected location points are then outputted.

Generic positioning protocol

In an aspect, a generic positioning protocol (GPP) may be used to support satellite-based positioning methods and terrestrial-based positioning methods for different access types. A terminal may exchange a first GPP message with first information for a positioning method and an access type supported by GPP. The terminal may exchange a second GPP message with second information for the positioning method and the access type. Each GPP message may include at least one position element, and each position element may be for a specific positioning method. The terminal may obtain a position estimate for itself based on the second information. In another aspect, positioning may be performed based on measurements for cells of different wireless access types. In yet another aspect, received transmission times may be transformed to converted times based on common timing, which may be applicable for multiple wireless access types.

Mobile device sensor and radio frequency reporting techniques

Method, mobile device, computer program product, and apparatus for optimizing sensor reporting are described. A mobile device can measure radio frequency (RF) signal characteristics while receiving data from one or more mobile device sensors. The mobile device may determine its relative displacement between RF signal measurements. The mobile device can send a representation of the RF signal characteristics and the displacement data to one or more servers. The representation displacement data may include one or more reliability characteristics and/or a displacement reliability rating. A server can obtain the displacement data and RF signal characteristics to determine positioning of wireless transmitters in an environment and build a positioning database.

The p-type thermoelectric elements and the n-type thermoelectric elements have a chip size of 1 mm or less and 0.2 mm or greater and a height of 0.8 mm or greater and 3 mm or less.

PHASE CHARACTERISTIC CAPABILITY REPORTING FOR SOUNDING REFERENCE SIGNAL (SRS) STITCHING

A mobile device can report its capabilities to a network node regarding one or more phase characteristics between Sounding Resource Signal (SRS) resources transmitted by the mobile device under one or more circumstances, enabling the network to configure the mobile device accordingly. Such reporting can enable the network to coherently process multiple SRS resources, effectively increasing the bandwidth of the SRS resources and, ultimately, the accuracy of a position determination for the mobile device. Various techniques are provided for reporting capabilities and determining applicable conditions.

A method includes calculating, by a mobile station, a second coordinate according to a first coordinate and a first observation value of a first base station, and a second observation value published by a second base station; and determining, according to the calculated second coordinate, whether there is a deviation in a third coordinate published by the second base station. When there is a deviation in the third coordinate, calculating location information of the mobile station according to the second coordinate and the observation value of the second base station, wherein the first coordinate and the first observation value are information used for calculating the location information of the mobile station before base station is switched. The first base station publishes the coordinate to the mobile station before base station is switched; and the second base station publishes the coordinate to the mobile station after base station is switched.
