LOCATION SERVER, INFRASTRUCTURE EQUIPMENT, COMMUNICATIONS DEVICE AND METHODS FOR THE USE OF SUPPLEMENTARY POSITIONING REFERENCE SIGNALS
A location server configured to determine a location of communications devices with respect to a location of infrastructure equipment of a wireless access network from observed time differences between receiving positioning reference signals transmitted by a plurality of the infrastructure equipment and received by the communications devices.
Device and system for detecting a signal for locating an underwater source
A device (10) for detecting a signal of interest in order to locate an underwater source of the signal. The device includes a receiver (13) configured to detect the signal of interest, an actuator (14) configured to allow at least a portion of the detection device (10) to move towards a zone indicating a result of detection of the signal of interest in response to the receiver being operated, and an emitter (15) configured to indicate the result of detection of the signal of interest.
Externally attachable tracking module for a power tool
A power tool tracking clip includes a wireless beacon transmitter having a memory that stores an identifier and a transmitter configured to wirelessly transmit the identifier. A clip body member has a beacon receptacle, and the wireless beacon transmitter is positioned within the beacon receptacle. A first arm member is coupled to a first end of the clip body and has a first inner surface configured to engage a power tool. A second arm member is coupled to a second end of the clip body and has a second inner surface configured to engage the power tool. A mounting feature on the first arm member aligns with a corresponding mounting feature on a corresponding outer wall of the power tool when the power tool tracking clip is mated to the power tool.
RANGING BY A NETWORK DEVICE DURING A BEACON INTERVAL
Examples described herein provide ranging by a network device during a beacon interval. Examples described herein may discover, by a network device during a first beacon interval, a plurality of APs in a network that are capable of ranging and a received signal measurement of each of the plurality of APs. Examples described herein may select, by the network device, an AP with a strongest received signal measurement among the plurality of APs, determine, by the network device, whether the selected AP is available for ranging, and based on a determination that the selected AP is available for ranging, initiate, by the network device during a second beacon interval, ranging measurements with the selected AP to generate a ranging result. Examples described herein may, based on the ranging result, resolve locations of the plurality of APs.
SYSTEM, METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A system includes: circuitry configured to obtain position information indicating positions of communication devices, the communication devices being fixed at respective installation positions, obtain time information including information on times of reception of a communication from a mobile terminal by the communication devices, calculate coordinates in a second coordinate system in which a projection surface is present using a variable, the position information, and the time information, the second coordinate system having higher dimensions than a first coordinate system indicating the position information and the time information, the variable being used for projection of the first coordinate system onto the projection surface that is defined in the second coordinate system and onto which projection may be performed without limitation in a time direction, and identify a position of the mobile terminal by converting the calculated coordinates in the second coordinate system into coordinates in the first coordinate system.
Device positioning for multi-SIM user equipment
A network element estimates a position of a user equipment served by a first network and a second network. At the network element, at least one memory and computer program code are configured to, with at least one processor, cause the network element to: determine first position measurement information for the user equipment in the first network; obtain position assistance data associated with the second network, the position assistance data including at least second position measurement information for the user equipment in the second network; obtain frequency offset information and time offset information for transmissions in the first network and transmissions in the second network; and estimate a position of the user equipment based on the first position measurement information, the second position measurement information, the frequency offset information and the time offset information.
POSITION SENSOR AND METHOD FOR DETERMINING A POSITION OF A TIMEPIECE SETTING STEM
A position sensor and method for determining an axial and/or an angular position of a setting stem of a timepiece. A magnet is provided on the setting stem, and at least one magnetic field sensor is configured to detect changes in magnetic field strength along at least a first axis and a second axis as the rotatable element rotates; the second axis is not parallel to the first axis. The changing magnetic field sensed by the magnetic sensor is converted into a characteristic signature path which may then be mapped onto a circular signature path in two dimensions to derive the angular position of the setting stem.
System and method for locating devices in predetermined premises
A location tracking system includes a first plurality of signal receiving and transmitting devices, the members of the first plurality each include an RF transceiver, sound receivers and sound emitters. A second plurality of signal transmitting units, the members of the second plurality each include at least an RF transceiver and a sound emitter. A system control element in communication with the members of the first plurality wherein the control element determines the locations of members of the second plurality based, at least in part, on information received from members of the first plurality.
STATION PLACEMENT ASSISTANCE METHOD
In two-dimensional map data showing buildings to be candidates in which terminal station devices are to be installed, a position of a base station installation structure to be a candidate in which a base station device is to be installed is set as a base station candidate position, an unobstructed view for each of the buildings from the base station candidate position is determined based on the map data while excluding a region blocked by the building having an unobstructed view from the base station candidate position, and a range of a contour line having an unobstructed view of the building determined as having the unobstructed view is detected as an unobstructed view range. A candidate of, among wall surfaces of the building corresponding to the detected unobstructed view range, the wall surface on which the terminal station device can be installed is extracted. Three-dimensional point group data obtained by taking an image of a region including the base station installation structure and the building is narrowed down using information concerning the extracted wall surface. An unobstructed view for the building from the base station candidate position is determined using the narrowed-down point group data.
