Offline Radio Maps for Crowdsourced GNSS Rescue Areas

In accordance with the disclosed approach, positioning server(s) could receive, from mobile devices, information indicating a plurality of GNSS rescue areas, each respective GNSS rescue area of the plurality of GNSS rescue areas corresponding to a respective geographic area visited by a respective one of the mobile devices in which (i) at least one GNSS-based position estimate is or was unavailable and (ii) the respective mobile device had demand for positioning data of at least a particular quality level. Given this, the server(s) could generate a GNSS rescue map representing radio data for the plurality of GNSS rescue areas. In this way, the server(s) could transmit, to a mobile device, an offline radio map representing a subset of the GNSS rescue map, to provide radio data for at least one of the GNSS rescue areas or portion thereof.

DUAL-BAND REAL-TIME LOCATION

The present invention improves positioning precision while ensuring realtimeness of multimodal positioning.

Nursing care recipient watching support system

The present invention provides a nursing care recipient watching support system. In the nursing care recipient watching support system, position information with respect to a measuring position, and indoor compartment attribute information such as a living room, a share room, a conversation room, a kitchen, a bathroom and an entrance, as well as watching level information corresponding to the indoor compartment attribute information are stored in storing unit 30. Position information extracting means 40 extracts the position information, the indoor compartment attribute information and the watching level information. Output means 60 outputs the position information, the indoor compartment attribute information and the watching level information, According to this, it is possible to estimate an existent position of a nursing care recipient, and to support a watching operation of the nursing care recipient.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR IN-HOUSE RF-BASED COLLABORATIVE LOCALIZATION WITH AUTOMATED DATA COLLECTION

A method for localization includes obtaining a request to localize an electronic device within an area, wherein the area includes a set of anchors. The method also includes transmitting a first message to the electronic device and a second message to the set of anchors. the first message includes a time for the electronic device to transmit a measurement signal and the second message includes the time for the set of anchors to receive the measurement signal from the electronic device. The method further includes receiving, from the set of anchors, signal information associated with the measurement signal. Additionally, the method includes identifying a location of the electronic device within the area based on the signal information. The method also includes transmitting, to the electronic device, the location of the electronic device within the area.

INTELLIGENT SECURITY VIA ACCURATE MOBILE DEVICE LOCATION SENSING
20230300577 · 2023-09-21 ·

Described is intelligent security based on the detection of the presence of mobile devices within a defined region, determined via accurate mobile device location sensing, e.g., within on the order of one meter. Upon detection of the presence of a mobile device within a defined region via mobile device millimeter wave-based position sensing, an identity associated with the mobile device is obtained. If the identity associated with the mobile device is not a trusted identity, action can be taken based on the presence of the identity within the defined region. The intelligent security can be implemented within an application program of a registered user's mobile device and/or a security system, such as a commercially available security system with alarm monitoring services. Various criteria can determine the action(s) to take, including by which region (if more than one), time of day, identity trust level, duration of presence, and the like.
